I'm on his side on this one but..

Everything doesn't seem right with his current circumstances. Arguably the most famous man on the planet right now, in the age of the smart phone, and he hasn't been spotted once?

Something smells here and it's not me.

(I don't think)

You know what!

I have been thinking the same thing

Is this guy been used for the start of another cold war??? maybe.

I would like to see a updated verified video of guy speaking. It seems that we are been drip feed information from him at the moment.

If they wanted him dead he would be dead already! its no secret were he is and a nasty accident could happen at any time I suppose.

If he is dead we need to look at what TPTB gain from leaking this information which I can not see been a benefit to them.

Good Post

My guess is that he's not dead (yet anyway). If he had been "bumped-off" that bit of news would have gotten out somehow. As the previous poster pointed out, if people wanted him dead, he would be so by now. Placing myself in his position, I think laying low and minimizing one's visibility would be a prudent decision.

I said it on day one, that this guy is dead.

Why? Because if I was his boss, I'd have him whacked too (and I'm pretty sure as head of the NSA, a guy could get that done).

Look, no matter what you think of the guy, he's a loose cannon that spilled secrets (and fled to a not so friendly nation). In fact, I'd decry his supervisors for NOT doing their jobs, if they DIDN'T have him killed.

First, I'll wager the guy we see as Snowden isn't actually the guy, but some NSA flunky posing. Second, I'll wager any tweets, blogs, interviews, etc. are only done to further the illusion he's still alive. Third, we'll probably see some other INTENTIONAL leak (though this time by the NSA) to further the idea he's still around....at least until the heat dies down, and everyone forgets his name. They are just waiting for a big story to bump him off the forefront.

Simple, they got their answer. Although some murmurs, the American public has accepted the fact that all of their communications are an open book. That realization is priceless and certainly worth offing some NSA hacker.

You could be right!

maybe they were just testing the water to see what happens and what has happened??? nothing really!. A few news stories and in two weeks time this will all be forgotten about by joe public who as predicted will carry on as normal.

If I have said it once I have said it a thousand times the only time you will get a reaction from the masses is if they start to go hungry and the comfort living a lot are used too is taken away.

This spying does not really change my life or a lot of other people on this site. We have all pretty much know they do this for years and it would be foolish to think they were not spying on us.

How else do you keep control??

Foil Hat?? why

is it that crazy to think that this guy may already be dead???

Please enlighten me to why you think this concept is out of touch???

I was merely stating that my forthcoming statement about Snowden never existing at all was going to be difficult to support, and thus foil hat time.

This entire farce is to test international bonds as well as domestic response to "documents" leaking. What were these documents again? Oh yeah, nothing.

Fair enough, but what is the benefit of putting on a charade that Snowden is still alive? The attention span of the masses (in the U.S. anyway) is about 2 nanoseconds and I would speculate many have forgotten about him already (if they ever cared at all). You may very well be correct that he's been dead for a while, but I imagine the folks in a position of power would want nothing more than to make an example out of him (that is if he's not just a patsy) be it by dragging him into a courtroom and humiliating him there or assassinating him with ease to induce fear. Letting the ordeal drag out in hopes of him gradually being forgotten seems inefficient. Is it that the NSA/U.S. government doesn't want to appear heavy handed and brutish for snuffing him out quickly?

Exactly. Unless it was all a ploy to get to Assange, and leak all the dirt Assange was going to leak anyway. Damage reduction anyone?

I thought it was odd that Snowden even needed Wikileaks??

Convincing point. Thinking about it, very little of what Snowden has leaked so far is new...most of the info I've heard before from individuals such as William Binney, etc. Thanks (no sarcasm intended) I'm a bit slow at times.

That's simple (and scary). How many "patriots" have come out of the woodwork decrying this?
Couple that with KNOWN spying on all communications, and now add it together.
By keeping him alive, it encourages more of these folks out into the light, for much easier identification.
Once they feel they've gotten their money's worth, no harm in "him" dropping permanently off the map.

I doubt he is dead, but I do wonder why he didnt accept Russia's offer of asylum. After all, he wouldn't blend in in Bolivia or Ecuador, and there is a marked history of us govt being able to easily kidnap persons from there.

I would imagine that he would have a much easier go of it staying under the radar in Russia, and it would be much harder for anyone to extradite him, legally or otherwise.

Not yet, but consider this: The U.S. government can't be the only one eaves dropping on everyone. So, if I am the leader of one of these other countries, I would definitely kill Snowden as a reminder for my own people to beware.

If he's a real guy, and if he's still alive, and if he's in one of these nations....if I were them, I'd RECRUIT Snowden, not kill him. Of course, I'd also be on him day and night like white on rice...

Here's the spy:

This guy isn't a dummy.

I would suspect that he has set up a cyber dead mans switch to notify people he is dead.

Massive leaks would ensue upon his death.
