I would just like to know why the icon for this section only shows a cross, moreover, with a question mark? Is Christianity the only religion being single out as one with conspiracies? I'm sure this was not intentional. Or was it? Anyway, I just noticed it and thought to myself. Why?

This might not be the right place to post this so mods feel free to put it in the right place. However, I do see this as a conspiracy against Christianity.

To be honest I just see it as an icon. Not singling out Christianity because of the cross. It could be because in the western world the cross is a renowned symbol and it would turn heads. Just my 2cents.

The cross is among the most globally recognized icons, right next to Superman's insignia. The point is to denote religion. To be fair, Christianity is one of the most questioned belief systems on this site.

Actually you have a point...

The Crescent and Star should take the place of the question mark...

All religions are the same....fairy tales. Which other symbol should they use? And why single that religion out? You should be proud that "your" symbol was used, and defend it.

So then that makes it fair? I fail to see the justification behind that.

I have no problem defending. But let's be honest, it appears that Christianity is the only conspiracy in religion according to the icon. I guess, Jewish, Islam, Buddhism, Native American, and the list could go on and on don't have conspiracies.

Perhaps an icon that represents a universal idea, that is embued with radiance, like:

Lets also remember that it is a forum about conspiracies in religion. I do not think it is implying that religion is a conspiracy itself, but I could be wrong, I have been before.

I guess it depends who you ask. Not sure that Native American is a religion

If you ask me, the entire idea of religion is a conspiracy to me.

Yeah, I just whipped it up, taking the Gray Area Icon and adding a G and ?.

I would go with what Krakatoa posted above. That looks pretty fair to me.

I didn't mean it that way. I'm Native myself, just didn't want to post every tribe out there.

Probably because Christianity is the most popular and well-known religion on Earth. As a result, I'm willing to bet that Christianity is also the most popular religion on ATS as well, with the most followers compared to other religions.

There is no conspiracy against Christianity on this site, its just that the cross is the most recognizable religious symbol in the world. I think you're just looking for reasons to think your religion is being "persecuted".

Christianity is the largest religion in the world. ATS is also a primarily Western website, meaning that having the cross (representing the religious beliefs of probably more than half of the individuals here) as an icon for the forum makes sense.
