What I am posting about is a video concerning quantum cumputing, a 512 qubit computer Google and NASA have recently bought.

I do not wish to link it automatically with Snowden, it could be confusing trying to find the evidence and this is not the point of the thread, but rather to inform you about something I thought could be important.

Could this be the ultimate attempt by TPTB seeing it's loosing it's cover to start WW III through a super intelligent and conscious computer machine like we saw in movies ?

This for you to decide guys and girls, but I thought it could possible considering the exposure TPTB is getting about it's hidden and evil deeds.

Would be awesome.

Just because they have a 512 qbit quantum computer, doesn't mean they have the code / algorithms for skynet.

Neural net learning is where it is at.

Place a powerful artificial neural network with a 512 qbit computer, then you might have some issues ;-p...

Though i guess that a 512 qbit computer could easily simulate an extremely powerful neural network....

I don't think we are there yet but I do believe that we are getting dangerously close and it won't be long until we are. Maybe not to the extreme of what it is in Terminator as far as becoming self aware or conscious but we will get pretty close soon.

My brother and I talked on the phone for about 4 hours the other night catching up on all kinds of stuff and we got on the subject of the NSA spying. Neither of us are religious as far as subscribing to organized religion but he said that he thinks that satan is technology and it made a lot of sense to me in a lot of ways. Technology is really destroying our sense of humanity, we have gotten to the point that implants are a real possibility, people are constantly connected to some type of phone, tablet, computer or something a good 90% of their waking day. Now we learn of all the NSA BS, its very real that we could be seeing the rise of something really scary.

you do not know the full story of SkyNet do ya?? it starts off using nukes first, then the machines later, ie sky Drones, tanks, and jump harriers, then the T-Series terminators, Is NORAD/USNORTHCOM still maned by man or by computer, secondly would they tell any one if it was run computer and not man, are ICBM still man maned 24/7? or it is done by a computer?

A 512 qubit computer!! Linked to google, nasa and the nsa? Let the sky fall!

However, I am not really impressed. Sounds nice in theory. But it's supposedly about 3600 times faster than the best desktop computer performing a specific single optimised algorithm.... for a $10 million cost, I think I'll keep slugging away with my socket 1155.

As for being even close to having artificial intelligent robots running around.. I'm not sure that would be the best cost effective use of the resources.

Webbot has no fear of being made redundant just yet, I'm afraid.

were you riding a bike downhill with a laptop on your lap trying to type all that?

Place a powerful artificial neural network with a 512 qbit computer, then you might have some issues ;-p...

This is exactly my point, I think it would be possible with a computer of such power to do such a thing. What this computer is really capable of is the greatest question that would need to be answered on this topic.

I hope you are wrong and that the guy in the interview describing the possibilities of this computer is wrong too because the implications of what could result from a misuse/abuse of it could be catastrophic if true.

With that being said, the fact you mention that and I quote "satan is technology" is a very interesting concept. It made me realize, that Satan and God is somehow a duality in itself, which means spitting people upon a concept, an idea in order to "divide and conquer".

Implants as a possibility makes sense too, you are not talking about Manchurian Candidate but int it's indirect form it is somehow linked.

Concerning to rise of something scary, I do not fear because I know people are waking up as days go by, concerning what is really happening in the world right now.

Well, the video was named skynet is here. that is the reason why I wrote in the thread title (skynet "could" be here) as I do not believe it is at this stage now. What I am curious about though is to what extent the guy is right concerning the true potential of this computer. This might be just a theory, but knowing more about the man describing what it truly is could be helpful.

I mean, it's very easy to say : " Hey a new supercomputer ... SKYNET IS THERE !!!", which does not mean it is impossible this computer could be capable of self awareness. What I found interesting in the video was that the guy mentions of the computer to work in a multi-dimensional way compared to our computers we currently use which is working in a linear way.

I honestly think further digging will need to be made in order to understand what this new computer truly is capable of and unable to.

I understand what you mean, but the thread was not to determine if something is/isn't "maned by computer", it was about knowing what it can really do. The guy in the video states something very important which is worth to be mentioned and that is that almost every great technology which was born such as nuclear energy and as such were almost all used for a military purpose.

I think the man who was interviewed in the audio was right on this very specific point and that is why I am questioning about the real intention behind the use of this computer. We must not forgot it was bought by one mega corporation (Google), and NASA.

With that being said, you can come to your own conclusion, but in any case further digging will need to be made in order to discover the true intention behind this move.

I say we have a serious problem then if we are truly that far advanced as the articles have stated. Nevertheless this is a very good eye opener and it fits in right on with the (possible self-awareness of the 512 qubit computer)

Important or not I have a feeling like there is some kind of link between what I just exposed in my thread. I feel we are on the verge of something really big, not positive nor negative as I am not a prophet, but something big for sure. Google association with NASA in buying such a computer has something well hidden, there is a particular agenda for this and this is what I really wonder about.

It's very simple. It's called money. Neural net and quantum are a natural progression to mine data for advertising, customer targeting and others. Neural net technology and AI technology are nowhere near what SkyNet would be manifested in the real world. I'd be more scared of a human controlled technology than any computer controlled one anyday.
