The Obamacare mandates slated to go into effect next year will force employers to provide health care coverage, or pay a fine to the government of $3000 per employee if they fail to do so. This is a job killer in and of itself, but it doesn’t stop there.
Under the immigration legislation making its way through Congress right now there exists a provision that will allow illegal immigrants residing in the United States the option of being classified as “registered provisional immigrants,” which means they can work legally within the United States. It sounds like a great idea to the progressive-minded.
Here’s the problem.
“Under Obamacare, businesses with over 50 workers that employ American citizens without offering them qualifying health insurance could be subject to fines of up to $3,000 per worker. But because newly legalized immigrants wouldn’t be eligible for subsidies on the Obamacare exchanges until after they become citizens – at least 13 years under the Senate bill – businesses could avoid such fines by hiring the new immigrants instead.”
What the new legislation essentially does is place a tariff on hiring American citizens.

According to Breitbart News, the Senate majority leader teamed up with fellow Nevada representative, Republican U.S. Sen. Dean Heller, to insert permanent funding into the enforcement section of the immigration reform bill for a tourist-promotion program beloved by their state’s casino interests.
The original Travel Promotion Act would have funded the program through 2015. The provision Reid and Heller inserted, according to Breitbart, would fund the act in perpetuity. And once it was in, Heller was on board with immigration reform.
When conservatives proposed adding a provision to the immigration bill that would prohibit all new Americans from voting for 10 years, Obama’s party refused to even consider it. That alone tells me exactly what their motivation is.

Methinks some people in America won't be happy until the borders are closed and you don't let anybody who wasn't born IN America, INTO America.

You're kidding right? You expect people to go through the tedious process of immigrating here legally, obtaining citizenship and paying taxes, yet you don't want them to vote for 10 years?!
Sorry friend, but if you become an American, doesn't matter where you came from, you pay taxes, you get to vote.
Here you all are complaining that illegal immigration is this huge problem that needs to be dealt with, and in the same breath you complain about LEGAL immigration and the benefits of having more TAX PAYING Americans in the pool.
You completely misrepresented my post. Please quote where I complained about LEGAL immigration.I don’t remember typing that.
I notice you ignored the pork barrel, too.
Legal Mexican immigrants are far less likely to choose naturalization than other immigrants, according to a new Pew report, which found that about two-thirds of the 5.4 million Mexican immigrants eligible to become U.S. citizens have not done so.

I saw this and it makes me question all of it. Is this true?

Two Thirds of Legal Mexican Immigrants Don't Apply for Citizenship About 5.4 million Mexican immigrants are eligible to become U.S. citizens but 2/3 have not done so.

Yes, those who have become legal, soon found themselves out of a job, and had to depend on welfare, which is a point many complain about. Companies try their best to boost profits and having a legal worker does not increase profits as much as an undocumented one.

Another bill being jammed through that we don’t get to fully read until it’s passed!! How many more sweeteners have been added that we haven't discovered yet???
This provision will incentivize businesses to NOT HIRE AMERICANS in order to avoid Obamacare penalties. Not only are they not doing anything to spur growth and create jobs, now they're incentivizing people to come here illegally by offering them OUR JOBS!
Immigration is far more complex than what people think it is. Blame is carefully shifted to the Immigrants, and everyone follows what their overlords want them to follow, an illegal immigrant can not TAKE a job from someone, they can only accept,
