You keep repeating the same thing over and over, but you are not giving any source material to back up what you are saying.

What news reports? What scientific data?

Its your thread, the burden of proof falls to you. If you want to be taken seriously you have to back up what you say, and not just tell people you want to keep it scientific.

Science is about facts, and showing data that backs up your statements.

That kind of thread, with religious doomporn, and with bible quotes supposed to supercede science, and with absurd claims such as "The comet is supposed to be brighter than full moon" (you know that comet don't emit light and only reflect the light from the sun, right ?) is typically why I'm against any form of religion and think they should all be considered as what they are: Sects.
Religion is it's own worse ennemy, keeping its most believing adepts in obscurantism. Mankind should evolve and drop them once and for all.

Btw, can't wait to see what op will have to say after his "Doomdate" passes and nothing happens.

I wouldn't plan on a cateclism though even if it affects earth. Most catastrophes are merely enough to warn people, not destroy entire civilizations. Most people alive on earth today are contain more humanity and goodness than the population that existed during Noah's flood and Sodom and Gomorrah.

I would look more on the order of localized affects, not planetary destruction.

Our magnetic field will not be able to function correctly when it's being bombarded from both sides.

This really could be the big one that ends 3/4 of all life on earth. Stay stocked and stay safe.

First you don't have that well of an understanding of chemistry. Its spelled Hydroxyl and Hydroxyl is the name of a functional group and not a compound. Hydrogen peroxided is two hydroxy groups bounded at the oxygen. Also non of this is going to reach the surface of the earth. All of the things you have mention are highly reactive and will probably bound to something in the upper atmosphere. Remember when some people where saying we were going to pass through Elelinins tail which contained H2S or HCN and it was going to kill people. Did it happen? No. It reacted with stuff in our atmosphere and the rest got diluted in the enormity of our atmosphere. So please before posting this fear mongering B/S do a little research on the stuff your telling people is going to kill them. The most that's going to happen when we pass through the tail is going to be a new meteor shower, and from my experience of watching them they don't kill 3/4 of the population.

If I post a youtube video that explains what is already fact in laymen terms for the people who do not know that automatically makes it falsified? I'm going to post a youtube video right now where I claim 2 + 2 = 4. Feel free to call it rubbish. The fact is the newest science is saying comets create water vapor jets out of nothing.. Do you believe it's created out of nothing or are you willing to accept a proven scientific fact that silicate based minerals when bombarded by protons create hydroxil and hydrogen oxygen variants? You're arguing against what is proven. You can argue the comet won't have any effect because _____ as I'm arguing based on opinion that it will have an enormous effect. The scenario of how it will effect earth is up for debate but you cannot debate any longer what is producing the trail behind comets. There is only one possible explanation left on the table that explains it scientifically. We can debate IF massive amounts of h20, hydrogen, and hydrogen peroxide will enter our atmosphere but if it does, you cannot debate if it will have any effect because it would have to based on the charged particle interaction with our own magnetosphere as well as the effect of hydrogen peroxide on organic life.

I understand the information the OP has conveyed.

I realize that there is a possibility towards something like this.

I studied science and guess what, celestial events happen. The question isn't IF it's WHEN.

The naysayers can laugh it up that's fine. At least they are enjoying their ignorance and refusal to consider the infinite possibilities around them. They do say it is quite blissful.

Anyhow. Now I will up the ante with you OP for fun because I speculate about these things ALL the time.
I have even been considering the possibility of meteor showers. Especially in combination with the people claiming the Earth's magnetosphere is weakening.

I do not know what will happen. Anything could happen, like no major events at all. Ison might be a dud who knows? Time will tell, as always.

I don't believe or disbelieve, I consider the alternatives and leave them on the table if they have rational basis of some type.

Good topic OP I have been thinking about ISON in cataclysmic scenarios for months now. It's very existence is amazing and I am fascinated by such events. I have no access to a military bunker so I am kinda screwed if we get a big "light show". But on the other hand, if we have a meteor shower event, bunkers won't help anyone unless they are miles deep.

Actually the science supercedes the doomporn. Perhaps if you grasped even a smidgeon of the material you would have something requiring intelligence to discuss here. Hydroxil does not exist so this is not a fact. Please learn chemistry before trying to scared people with it only to sound utterly stupid by mentioning compounds that don't exist on their own and then not even spelling the name of the functinal group right. Thank you

I wouldn't worry about the hydrogen peroxide. The thermodynamics favor its spontaneous decomposition to water and O2. Light, heat, and pH can accelerate this...ever notice the peroxide you buy for the home comes in a brown container? It's light-sensitive.
