Is Astral Projection Demonic?

I first started getting into astral projection when I was only 16 years old, I was actively reading about the topic. Then out of nowhere after about lets say 6 months after active reading on the subject it happened, the first time. It was characterized by a this strange rushing roaring wind noise. I knew that something out of the ordinary was happening. At first I thought it was the air conditioning, and the fact that I was half asleep, but when this happened during the stark winter times, I knew it was of the ordinary ( Something Out of the Ordinary) was happening here.
Soon It happened with increasing frequency. And well now im 20, and very familiar with the experience. Now when I think about it, ever since i FIRST astral projected, my life turned down very fast. And I mean i feel almost cursed with bad luck. It felt as if everyone turned on me, that I was on my own. Whenever I Astral project it feels as if an entity is forcing my body out. I feel so scared, I know its evil, it feels like I cant come back. I am thrown into this void of darkness that is unexplainable. When i think positive thoughts, I am thrown up, and whenever I think of negative thoughts i am pushed down. Then after, I started noticing a presence beside my bed.
I know I have gone WAY too far into this, almost that it is very hard to get out off. I no longer WANT to astral project but something I feel is forcing me and I want it too stop.

never known astral projecting by itself to change a persons luck ..

it is possible that you may have encountered one of the less than friendly denizens that reside on the astral planes ..

not a good idea to go projecting yourself without first being fully prepared - that includes knowing how to defend yourself when travelling the astral planes ..

Simple answer, no it is not...

I've gotten quite good at it and I've only really had bad experiances a few times, just like in the "real" world bad things can happen but you cant die so there nothing to worry about, stay in the higher vibrations and imagen a blue light of protection around your body, it can only get scary when you let it... Sure you can come across demons and lower vibration entitys in the astral plane but that doesn't mean astral projection is demonic.. Respect everybody you met on the plane and leave the people you see wondering about aimlessy like zombies alone, they don't always know they are there..

I find this so interesting that you've posted this. I got into it at about 16/17 as well and at the time a friends housemate (who overheard me telling him about projecting) said that I should stop right away due to negative energies. What I've learnt n my time doing it (I'm only 23) is that it needs to be balanced with a very healthy lifestyle- no drugs, no excessive drinking, no malicious behaviour etc.

It's your soul that's travelling and it can pick up any sort of bad vibes along the way. Not saying you do, but if you have a negative conscious or have something playing on your mind- do not attempt to do it. You need to be free of all guilt/ anger / resentment before doing this.

I've learnt from experience and its my belief that if you're meditating, have your chakras balanced and are in a generally happy place then it will not attract bad vibes; but (like me at day one) have any of these then you may attract bad entities.

Astral projection is as real as you and I; once you've created peace within yourself then you can get there. Not saying you're a crazy mess or anything- but if there is something negative niggling at your mind then you won't reach the higher, lighter planes like you want to.

Hey, I appreciate your reply to my post. So you mean to tell me that you reach the higher astral planes?
can you describe if you can, how it feels like/visual aspects?
How does one know when you reach the higher planes?
All I can see when i Astral Project is a void of darkness... I then get extremely confused/what is happening!?
Any idea what dimension this is? Have I not left the vibrations stage yet?

How can you be so sure it is not demonic. Btw I have others who can back me up on this vimeo.com...
Seems to be similar to my story anyhow he does have a point. But I need to investigate whether other people are having positive experience and why Im not.

Thanks for this food for thought anyway, It's in my opinion that you reap what you sow. Basically if you emit evil and project evil, evil will also manifest in your life, and within. I may or may not be wrong, but you might try, starting from within, on focusing more so on love and prayer, even your own made up and good intentions prayer may have a more positive affect than whatever you're doing. Be your own change.

Hey, Im not a bad person, more like ''innocent''. :/ I never harm anyone, or insult anything/anyone unless lol i feel like they did something to me thats when i get defensive, but i soon forget and forgive like 1 day later lol.
Anyway im getting mixed answers... and i do expect that. This is a heavy subject. But people usually imply that this practice is
1. Enlightening/Positive. Normal, Used for spiritual enlightenment.
2. Demonic. Which is what I am currently thinking. Am I am not 100% sure but my own gut tells me its this way.
3. There is no such thing. Can be explained by science or another dream state yet to be discovered.

You see this is the reason why I always advocate learning from a reputable Teacher/Group where people can help the monority who find themselve in problems. People of sound mind never think of learning brain surgery on the web but why any aspect of the Occult?????

Yeah! I find the best escape from the daily grind is coming home, relaxing and progressing to the spiritual world for the evening. It's a matter of state of mind- practise makes perfect.
I've been to many different planes and spoken to people there just like you and I - both telling each other how amazing this is and we cannot believe we are conversing together in this place.

I remember my first time- I sat up in this misty, yellow room and felt the most intense vertigo. I couldn't move until I realised what was happening. I then stood up and explored. At first it was only my house and neighbourhood then after a few months I focused on going overseas. Following that I focused my energy to the universe and now I can hone in on wherever I want to go and, figuratively, spend the night there with mates.

Once you have balanced your chakras and have rid yourself of ANY negative energy; the universe will be yours.

As another poster has said- negativity will attract negativity. . . . Please make sure you are full of love and light before you do this. As I said before- this is as real as you and I. It can effect you mentally and you need to be ready to experience it all if you aren't in the right mind set.

I skipped your question about the void of darkness, sorry. I believe that's probably the first place you 'wake up'c what you need to do is create that space within your mind to something that is comfortable. Something that you can recognise when you arrive there- somewhere that you feel safe.

Again, it all comes down to state of mind.

I think so too.

I had a Maori friend that came into my room one night (in astral form), pulled me out of my body and joked about it the next day. He even told me what I was thinking at the time.

If he could do that, I'm sure there are some nasty entities out there that could do the same.

Kinda Helped, but I there is still much that I dont know about this practice. As I said I only this happens involuntarily, unexpected. But, wow you must have nerves off steel, I get VERY scared at when it happens.
But I have started praying and reading the bible. And I know it helps. It is just nice to know that I am not alone.But I think I best steer clear of this, not only because im frightened but because something tells me its just '' not right'' that i should not be doing this. And that it is not normal for us humans to be projecting. Something tells me it is against God's Will. Which is why I am seeking deliverance, from my local church, by prayer and other methods.

Sorry, just to straighten out a worrying trend I have noticed by some on ATS.
Read carefully:

Atheism does NOT equal no spirituality!!!

I am an atheist, meaning that I do not believe in a god, meaning I do not believe in a grand creature that is aware of every single human being and loves them.
However I do believe in a possible afterlife [what the heck has that got to do with a god?], I believe in quantum mechanics, multiple universes and all the shennanigans that can cause.

I have seen ghosts, I believe in astral travel being a very real possibility and I meditate. I actually consider myself 100% more spiritual than most christians. [Because I learn new things and am willing to incorporate them in my understanding of life compared to a 'dead-end' belief that does not allow any new information]

I have the feeling that the word 'atheist' is nowadays used as a synonym for 'realists' [people who do not want to hear or believe in anything that science can not explain yet].
I also have the feeling that some people think that atheists can not have or believe in a soul if they don't believe in a god.

You can have a spiritual centre [soul] in you and it may very well live on, after the body has died. After which it can reflect on the experience it has learned without any gods present.
In my world there is only Nature, mother nature who has no consciousness herself but everything is still happening/working beautifully. That includes EVERYTHING from souls to other dimensions, it just does not include a 'man with a beard or any other being that is made up by people to explain the [as of yet] unexplainable]

There, I just wanted to clear this up.

your astral body is but one of the several dimensional bodies you have ;
akin to " your astral body but being the emotional side of your person ".

You dont ' control that ' -
you are béing controlled.

so dont let whatever Entities ' guide you ' or ' show you things ' ;
because however perhaps nice the expierience - it is under Evils rule - posing as 'Good ' .
