This is something most people will never see to often. First time for me.

Last Saturday, while Bartlett was riding his new motorcycle on Highway 93 through British Columbia’s Rocky Mountains, a massive grey wolf emerged from the forest alongside the highway.

My guess is that the wolf at some point (probably when young) has been chased by motor bikes and considers them as hostiles. The last pic is the telling one due to the wolf's expression although it is easy to get carried away. The folded ears usually indicate an attack. Of course wolves have sensitive hearing so the ears could be flat just to keep some of the bike's noise out.

Nice story, cute wolf!

It's a good job he was on a motorbike and not a peddle bike!

Could be a Wolfdog [x-breed of husky/german shepherd or similar] I know my mutts prey drive seems to make bikes seem like a tasty target. Maybe its a stray that used to run with its owner on a bike, who knows but very cool anyway.

S&F. Well, THAT's something you don't see everyday. I hope it doesn't make a habit of this because of the road-pizza factor.

It would be sad if this guy was reared by humans around bikes and was just looking for his human buddy. We have a fifteen year old cat that belonged to some elderly neighbors since it was a kitten; "dad" died and "mom" was put in a nursing home with Alzheimer's, and the cat still goes and waits at the backdoor to the empty house

This reminds me of the time I was chased by a chihuahua on my bicycle. It's interesting to see all dogs like to chase people and I'm glad the biker is safe.

That's crazy!
I guess it's dangerous to ride a bike near wildlife!!!!

Good points to all above!!

Also, this is another good reason not to feed wild animals in Nation forest and parks. It just can cause more harm than good.

Its good that this was reported to the Nation Park service (rangers up there) that's all folks can do. Let those that work in this field handle it.
