thanks for that, I had totally forgotten about this show. As with most us remakes I've heard the aussie original is better, and it's the same 'wilfred' but whatever, it's funny and out there

i have heard the same thing,,, watched it, loved it, but the US version is much darker...
just the way aha aha i like it...

cant wait,,, i think its airing the twentieth...
i think i am going to have friends over to watch it....... and some nachos....
i enjoy the series that much...

I watched a bit of the original and didn't like it much. I thought it was a bit too mean toward the guy who sees Wilfred for seemingly no reason. I'm fine with it when schmucks are laden with misfortune, but when regular people get it it makes me uncomfortable.

That said, I love the American version. I loved it for the first few seconds when it had the balls to start it's very first episode with a suicide attempt. It's dark, it's surreal. Elijah Wood has a fair amount of bad luck, but it never feels overly malicious. It has a very Lynchian vibe.

I hope this season ramps up the weirdness even more.
