Media propped it up, Obama commented on it, Was marketed as a race story from the beginning in the media.

People sheepishly followed suit and pressured for GZ's arrest. took over a month to do that.

Media also marketed TM as an innocent child when he himself had a checkered past. (Which wasn't allowed in court) and since they promoted it as a racial thing, it caught steam.

Oh and one more thing: This case is extremely important for those who agree with the stand your ground laws... in the state of Florida and other states that have similar laws.

ME said he didn't die instanly, was in pain.

so it is entirely possible that TM did speak and did move, just like GZ said.

Did you miss the part where he said he thought it was impossible for him to move after he was shot?

If my child was murdered I'd be upset and I'd probably fall apart. If my child died due to negligence I'd be upset and I'd probably fall apart. However, I'd want to know the truth and not just put someone in jail if they were not guilty of murder. I would hope that I would not want to ruin someone else's life, if they weren't guilty, simply because I was in pain.
Unfortunately, someone was murdered. Don't hide in the "self defense" claim. A person is still dead, from this preventable situation. George was wrong, right from the start. I'm CERTAIN he would have kept driving by, if it were a white person, under that hoodie.

Cross examination of the ME by the Defense...

this should be interesting

but we do have an eyewitness putting Zimmerman on top of Trayvon consistent with Zimmerman's story.

Although I may have misheard. She's the hispanic woman who claimed she heard something like a "long-board" sound (which ended up being the gunshot), she then went out onto her porch and saw Zimmerman on top of Trayvon. This being after the gunshot...

You may not, but most people will live in denial.

I know someone who died from an overdose of pain pills when he was about 20. I had a conversation with one of his best friends 4 years after the fact, and he was still in denial that he overdosed, he made excuses, got angry when I told him it was an OD, and even countered with some outlandish theory on how he died. Because of his emotions he refused to see what really happened.

I think TM's mother had no business to testify on the voice. She does not know and will probably live the rest of her life in denial when Z walks, in my humble opinion.

The medical examiner is REPEATEDLY saying that other than the gun-shot wound, there are NO WOUNDS< NO INJURIES.

This is vitally important.

Who was being attacked, and who was the attacker has now been established.

Not really. It if anything it is a bit more confusing. Have you ever punched something? Your hand will swell, you can have marks, you can have cuts (especially from teeth). The fact that he has no wounds, it is hard to call him an attacker considering the various bumps, bruises, ect ect on Zimmerman.

Don't misunderstand what I am saying, I think Trayvon did beat up Zimmerman, but it is very odd to have no marks on yourself.

Ok. The ME is saying that the KNUCKLES show abrasion.

Consistent with Trayvon throwing punches.

Knuckles?? He said one finger, the ring finger on the left hand of a right handed person.

when i posted that, he had not said that yet,
when he did say that, he said it was his opinion,
who to say that, another ME opinion would not differ.
lets just watch the cross and see if they press him on it.

Cross Exam by Defense -

ME admits that the body wasn't handled properly. Admits that the hands were not bagged. The body was left at the scene for three hours (rainy night) but the ME is giving the defense a hard time about answering the question about how long the body was left at the scene.

ME is being a hostile witness to the defense.
I'm waiting for the defense to declare him a hostile witness ....

Its taking like 5 minutes for the ME to just answer the freak'n question ... how long was the body at the scene ... it's all there right in front of him in his own notes but he wont' answer it.

ME testifies ... ALIVE ONE TO TEN MINUTES AFTER BEING SHOT!
That's a very far cry from what the prosecution has been saying.
More than enough time for Martin to say what Zimmerman claimed ...
More than enough time for Martin to pull his arms in under his body toward the pain.

That's big.

edit on 7/5/2013 by FlyersFan because: (no reason given)

He said "alive" as in the brain was still functioning and he was still able to feel pain, but he was very clear in saying he did not think Trayvon was capable to moving.

And watch the live stream for the cross examination that is occurring now; the television coverage is not showing it, for some reason.

That dosnt happen automatic - ive have punched someone 5 times without any of that, it really depends on where you hit, and how accurate you hit, how hard you hpunch ect - you can punch without leaving marks on the hands - however his head was a mess - dont see a very violent fist fight in this case, looks more like a struggle/wrestle and few punches and maybe the slamimng.

I agree its most likely to leave marks, but its not bulletproof in any circumstances

Is it a fact that Zimmerman lied about not knowing about the SYG law? I've heard others state that it wasn't even known as SYG back when he was attending classes...

Hannity asked Zimemrman if he knew 'Stand Your Ground'. Zimmerman said he didn't. That COULD be accurate because it wasn't 'Stand Your Ground' when Zimmerman went to class. That COULD be accurate because, just because it was in Zimmermans book under a different name doesn't mean that he studied or remembered it. But it also MIGHT not be accurate because Zimmerman might have remembered the rules but just under a different name.

Don't know who to believe...

No one really does IMHO. It's very convoluted. You aren't alone.
It's very clear.

George Zimmerman’s white father, Judge Robert J. Zimmerman as quoted below, described George as a ‘Spanish speaking minority’, painting him as neither Jewish, nor white. Well, being Jewish must then be a religion and not a heritage, and being white must only be matrilineal as paternal contributions must not reflect, in his fathers point of view.

It should be noted that George Zimmerman may have received favorable treatment from the police because of his family. ‎According to court records, his father is retired Supreme Court Magistrate Judge Robert Zimmerman and his mother Gladys Zimmerman was a court clerk. Connections in the legal community run deep and go far.

According to a records search on George, he was previously arrested for domestic violence, resisting an officer without violence and most shockingly, resisting an officer with violence — a felony charge that surely could have landed him in prison.

All three of those arrests, however, were mysteriously closed with no semblance of charges for the Florida resident. So how was someone with a violent past including that of battery against an officer able to carry a 9 mm handgun? Maybe that’s a question Robert Zimmerman should answer.

RollingOut.com lists the arrests and cases in question, from the Orange County, FL Circuit Court Clerk of the Court Records page

Do some of you still think George is the "good guy"? If so, i got property on the moon, for sale; with an "out of this world" view. Interested???
Let's not forget Zimmerman's rap sheet, since some of you think he's such an Angel, who had the right to "defend" himself, with a gun.

And for the person that said, you can't own a firearm if convicted of domestic violence. Well, as you can see, George was never convicted! The cases were closed, just as fast as they were opened.

Y'all want the "truth" but keep eating the lies!!!

DEFENSE QUESTIONING ....
The ME is now saying he has no memory of the autopsy.
He can only read the notes he has.
'ZERO MEMORY' .... must rely totally on his notes.

And he's being seriously hostile ...

'not capable of moving' ... I'm wondering if the defense will even be able to get to this to question the ME about it. This ME won't even answer how long the body was at the scene. It's in his own notes and he won't answer it. He just keeps up his rehearsed speech.

This is important. Could Martin move or not?

You are in lala land.

There is a difference between murder and killing someone in self defense.

You do NOT know if Zimmerman protected himself or murdered a young man.

yea, they should kick him off the stand. he keeps overloading his answers with non-answers.

he is being re-asked the same questions because of it...

at this rate, the prosecution will rest its case around june/july 2052
