"There is no secret here, towards the end of each note you hear (assuming your wearing earphones), upon the heightening of the frequency so too is your central cortex stimulated". - Professor Jeffery Marlon Harris BM, MRCP, FRCs.

What you are about to hear is a short audio track designed and prepared by Professor Jeffery Marlon Harris along with researchers at the University of Pembrokeshire, of whom worked closely with three of the top audiologists in Europe to produce this soundtrack. After taking a little over 4 years to compose by teams of experts, along with tireless research and accuracy this finely tuned 'work of art' as it has been referred to by many is now available to people to hear worldwide. It somewhat 'guarantees' to influence positivity throughout the mind, creating a bond between the brain and the central nervous system whilst stimulating the pineal gland. Research is still being carried out but to date 98.7% of people tested have reported a very noticeable or drastic increase in confidence and positivity after only listening to this track once.

Very good stuff here! Although I've only been practicing meditation on and off for about a year, I've only achieved the same affects a couple other times. While listening you might even be inclinded to open your eyes because of all the lights and movement! I even shut my monitor as I thought that was the cause, nope it was all within! But overall a sense of well being came over me.. very hard to only do once too! I'm not a guru on this stuff, but it really does seem to "activate" something within. Let me know what you guys think! You might be pleasantly surprised

Let me know what you guys think. Peace and love be with you
and here it is again if I did it wrong.. lol

I admit I didn't check out the videos, but I have a question regarding the thread title.

Which mathematical equation was used to determine the technique works at a level of precisely 98.7% ?

Their description says "98.7% of people tested have reported a very noticeable or drastic increase in confidence and positivity after only listening to this track once." I suppose it could be 98 people out of a 100, and perhaps a little person added in? Lol, I honestly don't really know, but it's their claim not mine! Just sharing the video.

You didn't read the statements carefully either, lol.

They way they worded it, no equation at all- they relied on personal introspection. 98.7 % of those they tested thought about their own experience, and said that the result was "positive feelings". Who determines what positive feelings are? The people feeling them, lol.

Or if you want an equation: [ (People reporting positive feelings) / (total people asked) ] (100), lol.

Well that was unexpected.

I'm usually the sort of person who needs to be really in the mood to listen to brain entrainment stuff. I'm a big believer in it, but I lack the motivation to sit there long enough. Binaural beats do work on me, but it's the process of getting ready and sitting down with the intention of doing nothing for half an hour that prevents me, same with meditation in general. I'm a bugger at it.

But I put on the headphones, and started the audio... interesting, like the sound you hear sitting on a train in the afternoon, after a long day, and you get drowsy. I liked it. But I was thinking it's going to get boring before I even get to 5 mins into it... but then I opened my eyes and it was 13 mins into it. lol

So then I closed my eyes, and yep, got the visual stimulation I usually get from brainwave entrainment. Flashing.

I didn't expect it to have such a reasonable effect on me.

I'm definitely downloading the mp3. Mainly because I find the sound very very soothing. Unlike other meditation videos, which tend to have repetitive obnoxious sounds - lol - that snap me back to awareness of what I'm doing.

I don't know that it's any better than any of the other things I've listened to, but I feel rather more uplifted right now than I have all day long, and I've been in a crap mood the last few days..

Thanks for that, Oh I also listened to the 'updated' video linked from the one you tried to embed, Not sure if there is any difference.

don´t be so ignorant, if they asked thousand people and 987 were positive, this makes 98.7%

Or they had an uneven number of voters and it came out like this, nothing curious about this.

However, I´ll give it a try now. I recommend using good headphones

Glad a few have enjoyed it so far.. I have a nice pair of bose headphones which I think does make a difference as opposed to chinky iphone earphones. I find it hard to control my breathing for some reason though, I know I'm supposed to breath slowww but notice myself breathing fast,.. Doesn't seem to make a difference though! I also noticed my whole body felt heavy, especially my throat. My hands were together, but I couldn't feel them touching, same with my feet to the ground. If anyone has any tips that might help further enhance this experience, please share!

I've only recently started meditating and really appreciate the benefits its brought to my life. Ill definitely give this a try and report back. I normally like the ability to just focus on sound as a source of awareness.

It is amazing what can be put into you without you knowing.
Could you tell if you were being brainwashed?

In this short clip a hypnotist hypnotizes people who are not aware that they are being programmed to do something - they all realize together.

I don't expect the meditation technique to be harmful but who knows what can be programmed into you with subliminal messages. This video I have posted made me think - what if he had instructed them to attack each other?

Slight problem, there is no Jeffery Marlon Harris FRCS registered as a Fellow at the Royal College of Surgeons.

researchers at the University of Pembrokeshire,

Another small problem, there is no University of Pembrokeshire....

but apart from those small problems....

I'd like to know who really demanded proof of the actual benefits caused by meditation.
As it is an ancient way of reaching a certain goal.

Seems to me like proving you can stand by showing you can.

Anyway. Nice thread thanks

There was a Prof. Geoffrey Harris that pioneered the field of Neuroendocrinology. Could be the same person.

It does induce a mediative state very quickly. I liked it.

It also made my tummy rumble really badly!!! Then it stopped when sounds did.

I listened to this on my macbook, without headphones. Time went really fast; when I thought I was just in and peeked at the screen, over 5 minutes already passed. It felt relaxing at first. Later on I felt a heavy pressure on my forehead, right above the 'in-between-the-eyes'... the third eye? Totally unexpected to actually feel something in/on that place this soon - just because I gave it a try didn't meant I wasn't a bit sceptic.

Most interesting effect: I don't really feel more upbeat and/or positive (perhaps a bit agitated) but for some reason the last 5 minutes turned me on... and I still am, turned on that is!

So, will listen to it every day. Maybe twice. Maybe even the next hour...

Thanks

Good vid, Darren Browns a mad man, would not surprise if the government hands him massive checks as a consultant for the ministry of truth.

Look for his shows where he is programming people to carry out assassinations in pubic places, they always go through with it, pretty nuts.

And the track sounds pretty annoying.

It is an interesting audio track. It concentrates the awareness. I think this must be related to what the Hindus call Nada Yoga, the yoga of sound. In Hinduism or in Buddhism this kind of thing would be integrated into a whole program of meditative discipline.

The track certainly is a way to get the average person to realize that "something" is going on with "meditation stuff".

Scientists have done a lot of work mapping the brain and using "bio feedback" to attempt to achieve certain results. I see this track as being in the same vein as those efforts.

Thanks for that explanation..I'm going to have to look into more about this. I found an hour long version for anyone who enjoyed this! If anyone can inbed it I'd be greatful! I'm excited about what sort've experiences this can lead to! I'm still trying to work on not getting all anxious and excited during meditation, but the affects for me are becoming more increasingly astonishing. I at first noticed a tiny spec of light, and after a little time my whole "view" was white lights moving across my field of "vision". I mean almost to where I thought someone was shining a flashlight in my face. And it almost feel as thought this flexes ones pineal gland or something.... not sure. I'm just going to focus on love and just take in whatever flows in naturally. This really is a divine gift within all of us, and It's amazing that even without this video, the power exists in everyone. Awesome stuff

This was 15 minutes of concentrated tinnitus.

The quiet after the racket was most conducive to meditation.
