In US, Obama was given name Black Eagle by one native American tribe in 2008. I have been checking their websites periodically to see if any rifts has risen and none have...legal issues mostly. Obama told them "as long as I am president, I am in favor of land trades among us".
So as part of his legacy, he plans on being the first President to give back certain lands.
I hope this happens sooner rather than later in his 2nd term.

My old Irish grandma used to say the sun never sets on the British empire because god doesn't trust them in the dark.

Pride or shame in your countrys history is pointless considering you didn't do any of it. You luck of the draw were born on a patch of dirt that someone named long before you were even a thought.

I like history, I enjoy reading of the battles worldwide that defines our nations as they stand today...but all it is, is ancient history...and ya, its not a shock that warfare has gone on longer than the past decade. Matter of fact, most lines on the globe was made at the point of a sword/gun/etc. What of it. its how nations start.

What a person is, in regards to their nationality, is what they do with it, not what others did with it before them. Everyone is an ambassador.

Dont get me wrong, I totally disagree with the way OUR countries are acting internationally, like most British people do. But by your argument you still say the British people are more to blame then the US people.

We are not responsible for our goverments, they are corrupt and do not keep promises once elected. We are all just ordinary people trying to live ordinary lives. Blaming people of a country is taking the blame away from the GLOBALIST governments. There is no doubt that the British government has been involved in the shaping of this world into what it is today by invading and colonizing different countries throughout the history...As an Iranian I can write books regarding Britain's interferences and sabotages in Iranian internal affairs,and it all started in the 60's,,1760's that is....Anyways,,whats in the passed is all past,,,or is it?....The only thing good ever come out of England is Pink Floyd and Jaguar,,,or perhaps Austin Martin.

I am proud of our history Glad, and i will explain why. In history, we are the only nation that has gone about Empire Building in a non traditional way (the traditional way being invasion and whole sale slaughter).

We went in for economic Empire with admittedly the odd slip here and there into outright atrocity but then what Empire hasn't done that? By and large we went for peaceful expansionism.........and then stole the jewels.

Admittedly, our version set the way for the US version (which is like an upgrade in terms of economic power) but nevertheless, as a Empire i am proud of what we achieved. Our way beats the hell out of Alexanders way or the Mongol Way (for example).

Actually, re reading this i will admit that we "borrowed" our version of Empire from the Dutch (they just weren't very good at it).
