It does not rule me
The anger, guilt, and spite
Despite conflicts endured
Regarding wrong and right

Through anger, we were blinded
Broken and confused
Forgiveness, humbleness
Things that we refused

I don't hold your blame
It was not your deed
And neither was it mine
Now from pain, you're freed

I watch as you descend
With wings, and I salute
Your love, I won't condemn

Writing on ATS has become a past time for me, yet I still haven't gotten writing status yet.

I'm balancing my stories with school work.

I entered the last contest, but it kinda fell through because of that bombing in Boston.

I'll keep an eye out for the next one. Can't wait.

That's very cool. I'm glad I found this thread. XxxAngelusxxX has some pretty good writing skills from what I have seen. And when I saw the name, I thought "Wow, I wonder if Hope Chest noticed this" so I came to check it out.

I really like your writing. Please "make" time to write. I look back on my life and realize how many times I should have expressed my self through writing. Let it become something that is integral to yourself. What you are will become more and more visible as you do so. You are a writer.

I'm also tossing around the idea for a post-apocalyptic story, in a setting kinda like the Fallout games.

I should let you in on a secret... You cannot teach poetry, and you cannot really teach art. You can teach a person to spell, and you can teach a person how different techniques can be applied with pencils, how different mediums can be applied to a canvas, but you cannot teach inspiration, and you cannot teach talent.

One either has talent, or has not. Once talent is known to exist, the only question is wether or not it is recognised and encouraged. Well... I see it, so...
