There is probably not enough bytes to relay my stories on ATS.
wait a sec...

But needless to say, I have never cheated death...he just let me know he was there waiting.

The closest thing that has happened to me, which I believe was just by chance, happened when my older sister and I were driving. We were on the street leading out of our neighborhood, the light was green for us, but she stopped and turned to look for a tape to play. When she turned back up a car had run their red light and went flying by at what seemed to be 50 mph, although I was a kid. I'm pretty sure if she hadn't made that delay the driver side would have been directly hit.

I've had two incidents where I was declared "dead at the scene".
I've had 23 broken bones.
One organ removed.
One joint replaced.

I'm still here!

One of many close calls here...

I was driving home from my brother's place at 3 AM with my cruise control set at 85 MPH on the interstate when I fell asleep at the wheel. I woke up down in the center median still doing 85 and all I saw were trees in front of me. All i could do was close my eyes, hit the brakes, and jerk the wheel. When I stopped spinning I turned off my lights to avoid being seen by a cop and smoked 2 cigarettes until I was calm enough to get back on the road.

The next day I went back and retraced my tracks through the trees. What I found was impossible to comprehend. There's no way I should be here typing this right now as my car could not have fit through many of those gaps yet it didn't have a dent on it. Just grass and dirt between the rims and tires on all 4 wheels.

All these car related incidents make me think twice about starting my driving lessons to be honest.

This is something that has happened to me a few times in my life and I can't explain it. There is a overwhelming ringing in my ears and it feels like my ears are under water.
The first time I was 16 and working on a construction site in a pit clearing off a basement wall for resealing from the outside. I was focused on my job when I heard the ringing and got a bad feeling. I jumped to my left quickly not looking behind me and the backhoe had threw a large piece of mud that would of hit my head. The job site stopped. The operator ran down and asked how I knew to move. I just did I said. I had a bad feeling and just moved.
When I was 18 my father planed a camping trip with is friend that he wanted me to go on. I thought it would be fun. We were to fly out in his friends bush plane to a remote area. I flew in this plane before and it was a good time. The night before we left I heard that ringing sound and had a bad feeling so I told my dad I would not go with them. He asked me why and I told him I had a bad feeling. He was upset with me but understood. That was the last time I talked to him. The plane crashed that day.
I guess the question is are we just lucky or is something warning us that it's not our time?

I don't understand your question. Are you doubting the story happened? Or just the cause of the accident?

I think your link is not working. Maybe that's what he is getting at? Well it won't open for me.

Not sure what happened there. Here's a new link.

Which time?

OD'd on children's (orange flavoured) chewable asprin when I was 6. Dead at the scene. NOT.

Hit by a car. TBI. Dead at the scene. NOT.

Sky diving. Multiple fractures. (external fixater, knee replacement, plates, screws)

Skiing "face-down" Heavenly Valley (double diamond) slope. Multiple fractures.

X-Ray machine fell off a pallet at work, I tried to "catch it". Stupid. Multiple fractures. (plates, screws)

Life.

If we listen to the guardian angel, it can save our lives. I have "lucked out" many times. I also experienced things that saved me that contradicted what I was taught in Physics. Something watches after me and my family, I am trying to figure out exactly what it is. Too many coincidences, too many gut feelings that wind up being true.

I want to lay on my deathbed and have NO regrets.

Live, love, embrace life.

It's so much sweeter when you have run the risk of losing it.

Got hit by a car......Nothing unordinary of a bunny getting whacked by a car. Bunnies shouldn't be skiing or skydiving though.

Speaking of Myrtle Beach, SC: I was there several decades ago for a weekend. An accomplished swimmer (swam the equivalent of the English Channel in the pool in Jr HS) I went for a swim in the ocean and was probably 200 yds off shore....the next day I went out but it was low tide so I waded out about the same distance and then swam out when it was over my head until I ended up on a sand bar where I stopped and stood facing the shore (~200 yards offshore). The water was only just over waist deep and when the waves went by it went up to about shoulder depth (6'1" ht)....I just stood there and let the waves raise my arms up and down for a few minutes when the lifeguard started blowing his whistle. I looked left and right and didnt see anyone in distress so I stayed there...the lifeguard entered the water and walked towards me still blowing his whistle. Everyone in front of me had come in so I slowly started in....I had to swim a ways (off of the sand bar) and then walked and met the lifeguard about half way in knee deep water. I asked him what the big deal was and he responded "there was a shark right behind you swimming back and forth"....I asked him how big it was and he said "about 6 or 7 ft" and then I asked him how could he tell and he said "from the distance between the dorsal and tail fin". Apparently it was just off the sand bar where the depth dropped off sharply. If I had made a sudden move to swim in it might have attacked and at that distance from shore I could have bled to death (and there might have been more deeper just off the sand bar as well ?). Of course, it is all just speculation but it certainly was a scenario that could have had fatal consequences.
