Well for the sake if it, I say I believe you because It could go well with some other spiritual ideas/experiences.

Some say our lives are chosen and planned in advance and we go back "to the afterlife" to our *real* self for a while and then have all sorts of options again, inclusive incarnation into other lives, or even re-living the same life with other outcomes.

It's also possible that the accident was not planned (and thus being 'corrected') since there was some need to continue this physical life. Who knows, maybe you really "died" and then made the decision...problem is we don't have a memory of the "afterlife" since it would defy the purpose of learning. (Some good books out there which make you think).

Thanks for the welcome abeverage. Well.. I don't have my flame resistant armor on and I've seen what happens in the other threads when people insist a land mass moved. That said, Cuba has moved by about 50% of it's landmass size almost directly west. Australia seems way too close to mainland Asia now.

I lived in Orlando Florida during the missile crisis and we studied a lot of maps about during the crisis. As for Australia all I have is that it does not conform to the place I've seen on any maps in the past. I've scoured new maps and they all indicate it should be snugged up to Asia. I remember it out southeast in the Pacific surrounded by ocean.

Before anyone jumps on the old "American education sucks" boat almost all of my schooling was in Europe (before the EU) and Asia. I don't really know what the US geography classes were like.

I am not here to judge (even though I occasionally do! LOL). This is the first time I have heard of a Time-line jumper that has said that landforms have moved.

So until 1985 you believed that Australia and Cuba was in their "proper" places but after 1985 they were not?

I would like to mention at this point that both Back to the Future Part II and The Watchmen take place in October of 1985 both deal with a "Alternate Timeline". Both pop culture media of the 80's that I find interesting and compelling, just an observation of mine!

Now either Alan Moore and Steven Spielberg where concocting some kind of bad mojo and brainwashing people or they were taping into a possible event with a rip/convergence/overlapping of the space-time continuum.

Or maybe it is just coincidence, but I would not put anything past Moore or Spielberg...

Welcome! first
Interesting tale!
Would love to hear/read more.
Does this feel like "Fringe" or what?

Thank you WanDash for the welcome.

Actually it does kind of have a "Fringe" feel to it. So many things were the same after it happened I didn't really notice right away. There are several really good threads here on ATS about similar occurrences. If possible in the future I would like to review them and pull the relevant info and similarities into a thread that is bigger than just me. I believe a lot of people feel as disjointed by this as I do.

While I've never really believed in incarnation or reincarnation what you say about reliving with a different outcome seems at least plausible. Not so sure that I would hit the "instant replay" option for this world game though. Maybe in 1985 I would have.

I've been around long enough to miss the America of my birth...

Indeed, you are not alone.

Timelines here vary more often according to keyboards and politics than temporal wakes and shifts. On rare occasion, you find someone introducing themselves that you can relate to

Welcome,

Hope you enjoy sharing ideas and views with others on ATS. I love it because this one site covers such a wide range of topics, most really interesting topics.

I hope you settle back into the right time-line and location you want. A good friend of mine said to me when I let slip, I had never put down roots in my life, but had always felt I was just passing through - 'remember, wherever you go, there you are again'. Took me a short while to take that on board, but now those roots are beginning to show.

Good luck

I'm not sure yet how to do a partial quote yet so I guess it's the whole thing for now.

I didn't think you were judging at all, just a reference to some other threads I've read on this topic. You know now that you mention it I've never noticed a specific reference to a time-shift and moved landmasses either. I'd just assumed (we all know what that does) that anyone who say "Wow, that continent just moved) has either shifted or slept through the biggest seismic event in human history.

Watchmen and the Back to the Future movies are favorites of mine. Hadn't thought the creators of those movies might have known something we didn't. Actually it never even crossed my mind.

"So until 1985 you believed that Australia and Cuba was in their "proper" places but after 1985 they were not? "

That's correct though honestly it was a while afterwards that I noticed so it could be said maybe they moved at a different time. Doesn't feel that way in my gut though. I know feelings are highly unreliable but it's all I have. As I always follow gut feelings and been happy with the results that's all I have to go on.

Thanks for the welcome Shiloh7. Yeah the range of topics almost seems a little daunting.

I've pretty much given up on getting home but then never had any roots anywhere it seems. I don't consider living somewhere for even 10 years as roots. Was practically in my 30's before I'd even been in the states long enough to consider it back home.

Hello and welcome!
I'm a long time browser, although it has been a good year or so since I've felt compelled to reply to a post (to the point where I had to re-register for an account!) but your time slip story intrigued me. It is a topic I'm interested in, I don't think it has happened to me but I am keen to learn more about this. I read about John Titor a few years ago and showed the article to my fiancé but he thought the idea was ridiculous! Could somebody point me in the direction of more information on time slips/dimension shifts? Thank you!

Thanks for the welcome Glitch82 and a welcome to you too.

Not sure about posting links yet but just go to the search page and search John Titor or Time slips or even New Zealand is in the wrong place should bring up a bunch. YouTube search of John Titor has some good C2C shows on it too if I remember right.

Welcome, Bassago.

Your time shift sounds like something I would love to hear posted on my thread, unless you make your own thread.
That sounds fascinating!

There are 147 pages of different experiences that have been shared. I've had a few members post about time line shifts, but I don't remember any like your experience, being stuck.
I'm always fascinated with new experiences being told.

Have fun reading. You're going to be quite busy for awhile.

I noticed
Wow you've got it all in there, Lions, Tiger, Bears. Actually some of it sidetracked me down memory lane to things I'd long forgotten.

I've read within the past month or so on another thread about an exact story like yours. Where time shifts were being discusses and people were going back and forth about famous people who had died and now were alive again. One of the stories was about someone who almost had an accident and then suddenly was in a different lane of traffic, I will try really hard to find that thread, and post it...unless someone else does before me.
It does seem that their story went on further however, I'll look because I find that interesting...the two posts being so similar and all that is.
Oh, BTW...welcome
