I clearly say that it is wrong and it saddens me.
But I don't like when things like this are treated like a crime against humanity. He should be punished and educated, sure, I guess the best way would be to make him work with archeologists for a couple of months so he learns WHY it is so wrong what he did.
I simply don't like hysteric reactions.

Who's hysterical? I say put the little vandal in Egyptian prison for ten years and let the gay Muslims play Cornholio with him. Where's the hysteria? I'm perfectly calm. My pulse hasn't risen above 60.

On a more serious note, punishment for the sake of punishment is, in my view, useless.
