I categorically deny that the fellow in Revelation is Jesus. He may very well be the same angel as in the Old Testament however. Neither one is Jesus. He is a play actor wearing a mask.

1) mask off
Rev 22: 8 "Now I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. When I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who had shown me these things. 9 He said to me, “See you don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers, the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

2) mask on
12 "“Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work. 13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End."

That isn't Jesus. Jesus doesn't need masks like that.

One would be decieved by taking scripture out of context. The angel talking to John is not Jesus or some fake. He is one of the 7 angels with one of the bowl judgements speaking to John in Revelation 22 and this is established:

Revelation 21:9-10

9 Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bowls filled with the seven last plagues came to me and talked with me, saying, “Come, I will show you the bride, the Lamb’s wife.” 10 And he carried me away in the Spirit to a great and high mountain, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, descending out of heaven from God,

This was the angel John was going to worship, and it wasn't the first time men tried to worship angels, which horrified them which is why the angel of the 7 bowl judgements told John not to worship him.

You're being decieved.

You're being decieved

I've been deceived before. But in this case, I don't think that I am.

22:12 "“Behold, I come quickly. My reward is with me, to repay to each man according to his work.
10 He said to me, “Don’t seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is at hand.

All this stuff didn't happen. Jesus already came.

John 20:The disciples therefore were glad when they saw the Lord. 21 Jesus therefore said to them again, "“Peace be to you. As the Father has sent me, even so I send you.”" 22 When he had said this, he breathed on them, and said to them, "“Receive the Holy Spirit!

Not only is the Revelation Jesus not the Jesus of Gospel of John, but the Acts Pentecost Holy Spirit isn't the real thing either.

And look here:

Rev 22:19 If anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, may God take away his part from the tree of life, and out of the holy city, which are written in this book.

I did not quote the whole Book of Revelation. I only quoted a few verses. I took away a whole lot of the words of the book. And so did you.

Why would the real Jesus want to exclude you from the tree of life and the holy city just because you quoted from the book instead of writing the whole thing out? Does that sound like something Jesus would do?

The angel talking to John is not Jesus or some fake.

The one who says,

"Look, I am coming soon! My reward is with me . . ."

says that he sent His Angel to tell John.
His "angel" is his spirit being.
So the angel, and the one who the angel is the "angel" of, are the same.

Nope, can't be. Because Jesus accepted worship many times here during his minsitries in the Gospels and did not forbid it. Shall i post them?

It was the angel with one of the bowl judgements who John was going to worship and that was who forbid him to worship him.

Revelation 21:8-9
8 Now I, John, saw and heard these things. And when I heard and saw, I fell down to worship before the feet of the angel who showed me these things.

9 Then he said to me, “See that you do not do that. For I am your fellow servant, and of your brethren the prophets, and of those who keep the words of this book. Worship God.”

Sorry about the time lapse in responding but I had to do some tedious reading to check on what this is about.
Seems this particular "angel" was the one responsible for the whole series of revelations that John experienced.(this is the opinion of David E. Aune, in his three volume commentary of Revelation, in case anyone wonders what my source is)
So, the point is, you can't say that he was just this angel who had no other purpose than to stand in a heavenly temple holding a bowl, and waiting for his cue.
