Who's talking about any god out there? Jesus is saying these powers are up for grabs. That in itself is the meat of this thread.
And that's exactly how demons lead people astray. Take all the power you want, but don't be surprised where it ultimately leads you. Precisely why the Bible advised against it.

[Quote]So far, you've never countered anything in the Bible to be false other than by saying so. [\quote]
It's not about countering. It's about interpretation. I see something different than you and it has been confirmed by my heart. That simple.
This is why we were given scriptures to begin with. So it wouldn't turn into "he said, she said". [\quote]
I see something different in the scriptures. As do others.
I will post the spirit quote when I am home tonight.

Jesus is all good but I never liked being pressured into accepting his or his Gods' version of a soul which I have already rejected in the past. You would say demons helped me build my own version of a soul, I would say they are benevolent beings.

So, what is your version of the soul? And how did you come to know these benevolent beings?
A father has two sons,
One a meager but happy farmer, making an honest living,
Which see his wife and family provided for.
His second born, a renowned man of God amongst the community.
Successful in all his endeavours, with no wife or child.
One night as they were feasting with their father,
He saw them both served with wine.
But to his first born and his wife
He saw served his finest vintage. Greater even than that which filled his own cup.
Not understanding why his father had regarded his older brother in such
The man of God turned to his father and asked;
Why do you favour him at your table father?
Have I not brought to you and my brother
the light of God through that I have spoken?
Am I not also worthy of your finest wines?
To him his father spoke;
You are both my children and I love you equally
But I heard Gods word far before your lips spoke them
It is by the love he taught me you are here gifted of speech
You have seen your pockets full
God has granted you success
Your wines surely taste greater than any I could offer
The only gifts you now lack are those which I can not give.
Your brother too has heard the word of God
He is a good and honest man, filled with Gods light.
Such are the gifts God has given him
Through the love of wife and child
For these gift I too am blessed
For their laughter now fills my house
For all the love he now brings his father
The finest of wines could never compare
Those truly of God, shall recognise his word
For they are those of true heart
The truly blessed.
The meek that shall inherit the Earth.
Just one day after the pope's now famous words in Rome on May 22, a Vatican spokesman the Rev. Thomas Rosica released a statement quoting a section of the Catechism of the Catholic Church that says people who reject the teachings of Jesus Christ cannot attain salvation.
"All salvation comes from Christ, the Head, through the Church which is his body," Rosica wrote. "Hence they cannot be saved who, knowing the Church as founded by Christ and necessary for salvation, would refuse to enter her or remain in her."
However, Rosica wrote that it's not impossible for an atheist to eventually be saved by Christ.
