There are getting to be a lot of them, aren't there? Even the big ones have a given # per year that tend to come on average but this does seem a bit more than than.



That's USGS so I'd generally trust the numbers as much as anyone. How many 8+ has that made for 2013 now? I've not kept count. Hmm...

It was felt in Finland too! 6500km apart from the Quake. Some buildings moved a bit but no big damages apparently happened. Pretty big bang!

I'd say this is not unexpected.

Is another Mag 8+ due like in 2012?

The quake nerds have been on the watch for something like this for a while. And this region has produced M8+ quakes in the past.

It's not out of he ordinary, nor connected to anything more than is apparent at the surface.

Just so that its not mistaken I saw that post on the eq thread from yesterday and reposted here just felt like for a prediction based off more than just a dream it wasn't too bad...I don't know when the original was posted or what thread even however.
