For those that like to go barefoot, this is the next best thing! What kind of a fashion statement are these making? I have a quirky sense of humor, but I'd love to see someone wear these into a store or restaurant that has the standard "no shoes, no admittance" sign posted!

I put this story here, though I could be wrong. . . I was too busy laughing to focus.

made me laugh - out loud - seriously

still laughing

And, you know - there just might be some truth to that. I won't even wear them - and by that I mean - I have questionable taste in shoes...when I actually wear shoes

:-)

LOLOLOLO....very funny thread Bezz........

I don't think you grow up in CA without owning some kind of "ugly" footwear.....they are just so darn practical and comfortable for outdoor activities that involve water or mud, camping, the beach...colorful and fun for kids !

I laughed till it hurt when I watched "The Sandals and Socks" video.......that's standard footwear in the Bay Area and Nor. Cal...and it's not just hippies, it's professionals too ! I think cause it's cold and foggy alot in the mornings? I will admit to owning pink Birkenstocks...

My all time favorite day to day comfy footwear though are Vans tennis shoes......Love them, my daughter had baby Vans......and got a new pair every year for school.......she still Loves them too....

Crocs were the 'shoe' of choice for the moron people of the future in Idiocracy.
That movie has to be the most prophetic movie ever made.
eta ... no I"m not saying that people who wear crocs are morons .. so no one go there.

HAHA I so dislike these "shoes."

My mom loves these things and swears by their comfort. I tell her she looks like a nurse and should wear scrubs! As for the articles reasons as to why people wear these my mom so does not fit that description!

She knows I will not support her Crocs habit. I find them to be the ugliest piece of shoe wear I've ever seen! They should only be worn by nurses in scrubs!

NO, crocs are worn by people who think they look cool, and are comfortable.

The first one is opinionated, and the second is just not true unless you enjoy the feeling of pain and discomfort.

For those that don't like the look of them, I completely understand, those Crosks aren't the best looking shoes for sure but please do me a favor, next time you walk in a shoe store that has them for sale, try them on, walk in them a bit and see for yourselves. They are comfy as hell !!!

I heard about them, made jokes about them... then one day when i was hiking around a lake shore with jagged rocks underneath.. they were really useful...

Soft and rubbery, protects foot and has holes for water to pass by.

What beats crocs in a lake setting!?
