and a tattoo of Ozzy!

When I lost my job a few years ago I was gonna stay home because we couldn't afford the fuel to get to the family, and it was well embarrassing not having any gifts.

My Bro in law drove up piled us in his car and took us.

It was the best Christmas ever

Apparently the gifts don't matter,and I love giving them, man did I learn a lesson that year

Have fun with that guitar! I was always a singer myself, but that's been tough this year since my voice has been gone for about a month. Yesterday was the first day that I didn't squeak at anyone for about as long. Luckily there is plenty of Christmas music to fill the void. Good luck on your practice.

We get to make ornaments for gifts and some marshmallow snowman cocoa stir sticks today to go hand out to the other munchkins we know in the area. It should be fun, as long as the boys don't eat all of the marshmallows as we go.

And doc, it really does help, though they get to running back and forth through the house with the dog and knock things all over the place. Is amazing how far that dog's tail can toss the ornaments.

You're right its not about the gifts, the time spent together not stressing about the normal junk is what makes it for me. The kids happy reactions to the simplest things make life worthwhile anyway.

DB, seeing some of the music and pictures you posted kind of makes me wonder what has happened in life. I can't believe it's been almost 15 years since I was traveling the country, living out of a backpack, and hitting up some crazy live shows. And, you know, I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Those are awesome! The top one looks like it was made with rivets, but I can't tell if the two on the bottom are pins and sequins and beads or more rivets. They look like pins and beads.
Ours are not nearly as pretty, but this is what the boys and I put together with pins, Pom poms, balls and ribbon, and a couple of pipe cleaners.



The others that we have planned are mostly pony beads and pipe cleaners, simple projects for little fingers.

Ours are all squash balls with pins and sequins, beads and stuff.

Mrs C started a craft club at school and the kids are all furiously trying to finish some as presents for Christmas.

It's costing us time together but just imagine the pleasure on Xmas day............I made that dad..........I'd treasure it forever

Well worth the wait.

Woodsmom, that tree is beautiful!!! I wish I had some place to put one up, but after my daughter moved back in (bringing her furniture too) there isn't one empty spot available. It doesn't really seem like Christmas without a tree.

Got our annual Christmas meeting today *Rolls eyes*

We get to spend an hour or so listening to a bunch of self righteous idiots that we spent the last year getting out of the doo doo pat each other on the back for a job well done.

Still lunch is free

If you don't count that little bit of soul they try to steal each year.
