I actually had a horrible nights sleep but I never got on the computer. I am extremely tired, but I gotta head to work soon. I usually don't mind this at all..but today I feel like a wreck... I'm gonna have to dance or something...I haven't yet..maybe that will help me wake up...but ugh..it takes too much effort! Hah!

Plus my work is a standing up type job...I gotta be on my feet..oh gosh..I gotta stop thinkin about everything!!!!! Hah!

Hiya Doc, yep, not to bad but getting annoyed with Rod Jrs scooter as just changed the petrol filter and the darned thing now refuses to start!

Did everything according to the books, hooked up all the right tubes in the right places, but the filter on the right way round etc etc etc... but the blummin thing refuses... grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Have you tried the big hammer on it? That's probably what it needs. I do it all the time

Have you turned the fuel on ?

If so take out the plug............................. Pump over the scooter.....................hold the plug to a piece of bare metal to check the spark. Use rubber gloves for that bit or you may be cursing me in a few minutes.

It should be fat and blue,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,if it's yellow and weak you may have plug breakdown.

Clean the plug and adjust the gap until you get a good blue spark.

Make sure you have fuel coming out the cylinder head and not condensed water.

If so drain the tank to about 2/3 and try again.

And check for an airlock in the fuel line mate

Failing that send me an e-ticket and I'll fix it tomorrow

Hehe, thanks mate for that sound advice, already done that but looks like i am going to have to take off the carb and see if Rods cousin (WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE A APPRENTICE MECHANIC) has put the carb back together again correctly after he came to look at it this weekend. Already found a disconnected diurite to the carb this evening that he forgot to put back!!

*Pours remaining petrol in jerry can over scooter and flips the Zippo open*

Right... off for a nice relaxing bath i go...

Erm, by the way folks, don't know if i mentioned it yet... but i have officilly stopped smoking...

If you're stripping the carb then clean the whole thing thoroughly (jet especially)

Make sure the float sits right and the reservoir is free of rubish

Personally I'd jet wash the tank inside and give a day or two to dry to flush out all the rubbish that has accumulated

I find doing it in the bath saves time and gives you that musky petrol macho smell that women swoon at
