Sarah Hall Ingram, the IRS executive in charge of the tax exempt division in 2010 when it began targeting conservative Tea Party, evangelical and pro-Israel groups for harassment, got more than $100,000 in bonuses between 2009 and 2012. More recently, Ingram was promoted to serve as director of the tax agency's Obamacare program office, a position that put her in charge of the vast expansion of the IRS' regulatory power and staffing in connection with federal health care, ABC reported earlier
Last year, 25 senior executives in the counsel's office received bonuses totaling $510,660, an average of $20,426. One lawyer, Sarah Hall Ingram, received a $46,900 award, after being singled out for distinguished service by President Bush. Two others, Deborah A. Butler and Cynthia J. Mattson, also were cited by Bush for meritorious service and rewarded with bonuses of $26,760 and $24,600, respectively.
Someone had to sign off on these bonuses.
According to The Washington Post, she received a $47,900 bonus for distinguished service in 2004 from President George W. Bush.
Even if it is not "new", does that make it right? The government is basically putting a bounty on our heads. Is that the function of our government? Should it be?

She received the same kind of bonuses under president Bush. IRS executives and it's lawyers getting bonuses is nothing new.

Funny how Obama says he is always in the dark about all of these recent scandals (distractions ). What owner of a business would allow those under him to sign off on bonuses? Let alone bonuses in that price range.

Absolutely not. Government needs to be reigned in. The irs should be abolished, along with most of the other "alphabet agencies".

So it was ok for the Republicans to do it but not the Democrats?

So basically *Obama* is using the irs to punish his detractors and then giving bonuses to his lackeys that do his dirty work. This person occupying the White House needs to be impeach, and then tried for multiple crimes. He is a complete disgrace to the office. Clinton and Bush were bad. Carter was incompetent. This guy tops them all. He combines the worst of Carteriesque incompetence with Bush imperialism. The result makes Nixon look like a nice guy. Obama belongs in prison, not the oval office.

No its not acceptable for either of the crime organizations (Dems or Reps) to give big bonus's at a time when the US is in the Debt we are. However, the Us has never been in the dire shape it is in becasue of the Democratic Administration we current have to live with. This President and his appointed administration of down right no expieriance lackeys in charge of every Dept and Agency have spent more money and taken more liberties from the american CITIZEN than any before them, SO yes OBAMA should be held accountabel for everything that is done on his watch period! And we all know he doesnt do that in any way shape or form.... its always someone elses fault!!!!!
