One in five U.S. kids has a mental health disorder, CDC reports

(HealthDay)—As many as one in five American children under the age of 17 has a diagnosable mental disorder in a given year, according to a new federal report.

Released Thursday, the report represents the government's first comprehensive look at mental disorders in children. It focuses on diagnoses in six areas: attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), behavioral or conduct disorders, mood and anxiety disorders, autism spectrum disorders, substance abuse, and Tourette syndrome.

"We are seeing increases across the board in a lot of mental disorders," Perou said. Some of the biggest jumps have been in ADHD and autism. "We don't know if it's due to greater awareness, or if these conditions actually are going up," she said.

What to heck is going on? Is it the food, water, or radiation from years of testing or Nuclear plants, sun spots or lack there of......Something is darn sure going on and you have to womder what type of country and society we will have in the near future?? Daycare, lack of parenting? Name something/anything for the cause and effect of the problem; it is real....

There's a diagnosis for almost everything now. It's all a crock. A corrupted culture is what has caused ADD/ADHD/emotional problems/anxiety.

We're lied to since childhood. Stop. Pave a better future for our children. Do not listen to these mechanistic humans. They are corrupted.

Autism is a byproduct of the poisoning of our kind. Stop taking in poison. Do not drink anything fluoridated(purchase only arrowhead/crystal geyser or get a good water filter). Avoid HFCS and other things you cannot pronounce in your food, shop at health stores such as Trader Joes no matter the cost. If you have a emotional/mental condition, do everything in your power to restore functionality to your brain and ween off the meds - yes it will be hard I've done it myself but it IS possible.

It's not a conspiracy anymore, my friends, the planet is corrupted to the finite core and we must FIX ourselves so those who come after us will live a better life.

We must stop consciously allowing ourselves to be poisoned, by culture, by the economy, and by the literal poisons that surround us.

Well, maybe the CDC should figure out why it's happening instead of funding more tests to show there is a problem. It is either in our food or water supply or possibly a reaction to medicines/vaccines. It appears to be in people who do not take supplements so that can be ruled out. There is a lot more to food than just vitamins and minerals.

I suspect that much of it is "BS". However, with fifty years plus of a "drug it" medical culture, there may indeed now be some sort of problem.

So many drugs are/were approved without much thought given to long term effects on genetic viability... Not sure I said that right.

Everything is considered a mental disorder anymore, so I'm more surprised that it's not 4 or 5 out of 5 kids.

My money is on the combination of more BS to push drugs for big pharma and parents who are either too lazy to act like real parents or are scared to be the "bad guys". I'm sure some kids do have problems and need medication but most are just "being kids". Parents need to quit doping up their kids and quit trying to be their best friends- grow a pair and be a parent!

Yup, that is what they do alright, make us fear diseases that we shouldn't fear. Every year the flu kills some people, that is nothing new. I bet if you could get a truthful unaltered copy of the evidence we would find that there has not been a decrease in people that are getting the flu in the country because of vaccinations. The doctors were denying people had the flu for many years if they had the flu shot. This practice distorted the results. If the doctors believed that the shot stopped the flu they would think that the people had something else. It wasn't even an intentional deceit, just a deceit formed by false belief. The truth finally came out last year, the flu vaccine does not work as good as they thought. People deny that homeopathic medicine is real....What is a flu vaccine if not homeopathic medicine.

Amazing! When I grew up people were generally all considered normal, except for maybe one down syndrome kid in the classroom. That's how I remember it. I am 45 now. With all this high-tech, social frenzy, modern technology, Internet, heightened intelligence and available knowledge, parenting books etc, it simply astounds me how fast we are going backwards. In fact, parents and mothers to are encouraged to abort those defected embryos that show signs of chromosome abnormalities.

This has to be done purposefully by those who hold worldly power over us. The harder why try to be normal and live under their rules where we have our personal rights and freedoms stripped from us what seems to be daily, the more we have illness and disease.
