This is a fantastic story. Today is the 70th anniversary of the "Dam Busters" raids on German Mohne and Eder dams during WWII. The genius of Barnes Wallis and his "Bouncing Bomb" made the raids possible. It resulted in stalling the Nazi's war effort.
Anyway i will let the story speak for itself:-

I do have to wonder what the Germans thought of this

Surly, although an amazing feat admittedly, I'm not sure that I'd be too impressed if the roles were reversed.
Imagine if the Germans flew over London in memory of the blitz
I doubt there would be much in the way of celebration

Just a thought

Thanks cody, a star for your reply.

Maybe it is OK too, for the Germans to bomb the BBC for gloating.

I visited 'Just Jane' at East Kirkby the other week.
Got my Dad a ride for his 70th b'day. Lancaster Bomber
You got to love the sound of four Roles Royce Merlin engines powering up :-)

Most amazing aircraft flown by brave men. A very moving experience.
A big salute to true heroes!
