Funny about the technology part, gold old fashioned bolt action riffles, or small capacity magazines would be included in "old" technology, I would love to see someone try a theater shooting like Aurora CO with a Bolt action Lee-Enfield .303 with a 5 round magazine. One has to wonder what the body count would be then.

But we must remember at all costs, Guns don't kill people, only crazies with high capacity magazines on semi-auto carbines, oh, that, and two year olds who blow their own heads off...oh, and 5 year olds who shoot their 7 year old brothers in the bathtub...BUT IT'S NOT the guns, well, at least that is what the gun manufacturers who don't want their market to dry up tell us, we need MORE guns to protect ourselves from guns. I wonder if the same logic will protect us from bombs.

I own 3 cars, does that mean I am at less risk of dying in a accident with a car? What about if I leave my car unlocked with the keys in the ignition around my kids, or would I be better to lock my car, and put the keys away when it is not in use?

What is "extremely foolish" about defending your SECOND AMENDMENT, UNALIENABLE RIGHT to bear arms in order to defend yourself against a tyrannical Government who refuses to redress grievances brought to it and instead actively seeks to assert overt control over your very livelihood?

It seems natural to me. I will not be controlled. I will not be denied my rights to freedom, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Look at what it has come to. I run a hotel at night. Hotel tax in my state is 13.5 percent!!!

We advertise a certain rate and people are ASTOUNDED that the rate is nearly 30 dollars more than the advertised rate.

What do I say?
Take it up with the man.

Back in the day we fought a friggin war over a ONE PERCENT tax increase.

They have steadily found a way to take more and more. But take my ability to adequately defend myself (haha. They have smart bombs), and that dog just don't hunt, pal.

Well I never said that they are coming for EVERY single gun, and I cant control what other say. If their information is incorrect that's THEIR fault. Can't blame me for what someone else did.

BTW I should clarify. I own a Fire arm Possession and Acquisition license. Have several guns in the gun cabinet. Some nice ones 30-30. 12 guage, 270, ...Ruger 22..

This reaction is not a new one when it comes to gang violence in this country. it is the same reaction I hear over and over again as if we have cared so hard for so long and nothing has changed so we might as well forget it and stop caring altogether. It is well past the time we stop arguing over perceived party lines and ask why, generation after generation of kids have such little hope and feel that the lives of their own friends family and neighbors are meaningless.

This is not an isolated incident in certain areas and as long as we continue to skim the surface we will never get down to the kind of dialog that needs to take place. We need to talk about about it, really talk about it IMO.

These kids are continuing to murder each other day after day and the threat of prison does nothing to discourage any part of it. Kids are not born with the desire to take sides in the violent gang cycle, it is passed on generation after generation. The only way out as some see it is to become filthy rich, ie, sports star, movie star, or the next big musical act. Those are some very small hoops to jump through.

Sorry I went off on a tangent but it being mothers day I think back to some conversations I have had with my own daughter when she was a teen going through some tough moments and what would have happened if I had said " Well this disagreement is far to difficult for us to sort out, lets just stop talking about it ok ?"

I will just part by saying that Americans aren't gonna give up weapons. This is abundantly clear.
Our Idiot and Chief realized this a few Weeks back when his gun control measures were shot down. He made his appeal on the bodies of dead children rather than face the actual issue like a damn man with testicles.

Yeah, they weren't trying to grab weapons, but as I said, we Americans see the writing on the wall and we are having NONE OF IT. Period.

Stop sensationalizing the stories and morons will stop trying to gain fame by acting like sociopaths. Instead, maybe the Gov can absorb them into their ranks. Sociopaths are a perfect fit in American Government.

What is it you mean by "staged?" Are you implying that no one was actually shot?

Or are you saying that the government induced 3 people to shoot others as a means of distraction?

IMO it would be pointless to "stage" a shooting in New Orleans. People, innocent people, get shot there every single day. No need for any setups, it is an extremely dangerous city already.
