Broken Window, Paranormal?

there has been odd things happening at the family vacation house in Arizona and they stopped after the bathroom window broke. it happened at 7am with everyone sleeping. it was a mild day windows where open so there wasnt any crazy temperature difference. this is a new house built in the late 80s and the windows are nice double pane. the inside window broke (sliding window). this woke my parents when it happened.

my mom heard on coast to coast that this indicates a spirit leaving. ive also read that its a common occurrence for windows to break on there own.

nothing has happened for months after, except a week ago before my parents left in the morning they both heard what my dad described as a half human shriek in the kitchen.

any input?

A window breaks so it must be paranormal?

Double glazed units as you are describing fail, the seal can break and you get moisture inside, this is called solar pumping and can break the glass. They expand and contract...sometimes breaking a pane.

It could have been static movement in the house, could you provide a photo? Or has it already been replaced ..
Then, why would a ghost or whatever paranormal leave the house through the glas if windows were opened?

That half human shriek could have been fighting cats.
I want to believe but in this case I cant.

Around here we have such stupid pigeons that they regularly fly into windows and cause all sorts of damage

I used to have that a few years back when i lived in a 3rd floor apartment. They would see the reflection off the glass and assume it was just sky and fly into my windows lol

I think op is describing a sash window like in their profile pic, the inside one that moves up and down.
If this is the case, there are multiple reasons it could have broke. A bird flying into it could be one of those.

I assumed they meant a panel of the double glazing on the inside...but i dont think that is the case.

Yeah, but I thought it was double pane (two glas sheets in row) and that the inner one broke. But could be a misunderstanding from my side.

I think it is, i was assuming it was the inside panel of glass only, but op says

the inside window broke (sliding window)

i still have the window. its the sliding kind from side to side. and yes the inside glass broke behind the screen. ill get a photo later. im just curious because all the weird stuff that happened stopped after this. im mostly posting because my parents think its paranormal.

and there are no cats here(they would get eatin my coyotes).

i appreciate the non paranormal reasons behind it. i would like to hear more.

What weird stuff occured? please explain, I havn't heard of spirits escaping/leaving through windows before.

In my experience once these things are happening they don't just stop.

Only my personal experience , I'm no expert.

It could still be a bird if the inner pane of glass is slightly damaged so the pressure is transmitted to the inner pane and small fractures are brought forward but generally i'd expect a dead bird under the window in that sort of thing

The reason i said it was it happened to my parents where a small flaw in the inner pane from who knows what was made to fracture due to the fact a pigeon hit it at a good speed and it seemed to try and stop right before it so it hit with maximum force due to the angel wing pattern on the outer window

Beside that it crossed my mind too, OP says nothing about a bird, nor feathers, nor blood which would be present in this case. Did you looked outside madmark?

it wasnt a bird because im sure it would be dead, nothing outside. it was a small window too. i think its the textured glass so it isnt glossy, ill have to check.

weird stuff thats been happening:

the things ive experienced are a coyote skull thats in my room being upside down with teeth around it that fell out. this was just getting to the house after not being there for a while. unless my mom was dusting last visit and picked it up and set it down upside down and didnt notice (she said she never touched it) must have flipped fairly hard to have the teeth fall out.

ive heard footsteps and thought it was one of my parents but they were in totally separate rooms.

my dad was looking for the paper that was supposed to be delivered that day only to find it in his closet in the shoe hanger thing. my mom didnt put it there. and no one saw it before it was found in the closet. this freaked my dad out for a while lol.

the stereo turns on by itself (explainable) but i think its only happened while we've been at the house.

i thought there was more stuff. hmmm maybe not as weird as i thought.

Had some creepy wake up´s when my PC fired up in the middle of the night in the room next to, activating the printers and all hardware via master-slave extension cord. Wake on Lan feature was activated after BIOS update and son thought he might go looking up some porn or whatever in the middle of the night, booting his PC and his windows trying to access the printer connected to my machine...

However, I suggest you post the pictures otherwise this thread is garbage ready.

I´m not an expert but it looks like the glas cracked at the frame first so there was anykind of force at work. Sorry can´t give you more but at least its an answer.
