Police act Heroically In Bailiff Eviction showdown

I just finished watching this and I gotta say I did a victory 'punch in the air' for this guy. He manages to tell the bailiffs and the police points of the law, and told them all he has a legal right to 'peacefully resist eviction', and informs the police he is refusing entry to the bailiffs as is his right, and he wants them arrested for trespass if they try to enter. This is in the UK by the way.
I love to hear about these kind of stories where the little man wins for once.

As for that overweight middle aged one who the hell does he think he is threatening the owner.

Did you here what he said basically your property is nothing and he serves 50 of them ex96? forms

Yes I heard him, bailiffs have a dreadful reputation and we can see why.

I thought it was great when the Sarge told the bailiffs 'they are verbally refusing you entry and therefore we advise you to leave' haha.

Reminds me of my sherriff brother.....
These people make a living #ing people over.
See the sherriff had no proper paperwork or anything legal.
Just tried to intimidate the tennants to go.
This is the kind of Kangaroos courts and law system we have.....thanks be to the neutral cops.
Though if this was america there would be some very dead tennants laying on the lawn by now
(and a news stry accusing them of terrorism too)
Resist within every means of the laws people.....if we dont we are doomed to be serfs to these type of aholes.

As an American, I can say Officers do get a bad rap, but its always nice to see story's like this.

Yes, not all cops are bad, so it's good to see a few of the good guys in action.

Wish I could say the same for the average bailiff.

They are not actualy allowed to take anything deemed as essential to living, but they do!

I can't believe the attitude and the utter disregard for the law those men possessed...
Even in front of the Police! I was shocked when he was denied entry and proceeded to step over the
fence in front of the Sarge!

Well good for the resident and major props to the excellent police officers that did the right thing.

About the video from the op, this was the original description in the same video in my thread....

The video was back in May 2012, and due to the major embarrassment we caused the court, they came back for a 2nd eviction some time later, which again we attended. Unfortunately, this time they brought the heavies; High Court Enforcement Officers, who are unabashed fascists. The Police were ordered to stand down, and Sgt Mo, had been ordered not to attend. The bailiffs used excessive violence to secure entry. But however, due to the video evidence, we have the grounds to prosecute and sue them for their tyrannical actions. The Bird family's struggle against the bank continues, as we prepare for the next round of action against the bank. The only time you truly lose your home is when you GIVE UP.

So they did eventaully loose the house, but when being faced with homelessness this video is priceless, if even to just buys a little more time.
