Today I have been a member here for 9 years!

I just realized this as I was looking at my avatar. It's been 9 years of lurking online, filling my head with all sorts of crazy ideas and theories from this website!

You have kept my attention that long!

After all those years lurking what is the most importan thing you've learned here on ats in your opinion?

To keep true to myself and to stand firm in what I am and experience.
That has been a very valuable lesson for me.

ATS has given me plenty of trolls to toughen my hide
And some very awesome perspectives on topics I could not find anywhere else.

When I read the title of your thread I was thinking, "wow, nine years! That person must be super crazy after that many years of reading and discussing conspiracies!"

I was wrong because you seem sane enough which is good.

I remember when I first found the website. I have never been a conspiracy theorist, but always had an interest in the unknown or unexplained. This site was an immediate hit for me. Some of the information on the paranormal threads is priceless.The value of these things to those of us who really do want to understand the paranormal. I wonder if people realize sometimes what ATS is creating with its archives in just the paranormal section. I know it is not a favorite time per se but every time I participate in these threads it is a memorable experience for me.

Some of the people I have met here have been the coolest anywhere, even though I might not tell them that, there are some really talented people here.
I also have loved some of the crazy stuff, you know, the threads where you just know this person is off thier rocker but you just can't not read it, or throw a comment out there....I love those threads too.

I remember my first comment that got more than 10 stars. I was the first one on a thread to answer back about non smokers.... All I did was put a cig out on my forehead and walk away....I got about 100 stars....lol That was awesome.


I have had so many good times on this site that I cannot pick any one that stands out more than others..

I think I stumbled across it while doing research on E.S.P.

I don't remember exacts, think it had to do with remote viewing. Only took one thread to make me sign up and then ATS became a place for me to vent out. I was working on the James Van Praagh website and there you had to keep to a very strict guideline. I came here to vent the things I could not vent there.

I'm still skeptical, and a bit wiser.

One of the things ATS has taught me is that no matter how many times you think the world is going to end...you are wrong... It's not gonna...lol
