It is obvious that the bear needed a snack and his handlers obliged him by providing a bicycling monkey! They should be proud of themselves!

Not sure anyone should be surprised - They're animals, not pets. That's what they do! It sucks the little kids had to see that but...what are you going to do?

Okay this is sad...BUT. If you ignore the Bear eating the Monkey or the people beating the bear with sticks and pay attention instead to the crowd- They look bored.

Like this # happens every day.

Nobody is moving back from the tiny rail, gasping or hiding their kids eyes.

Its like it was meant to happen. People are just relaxed while this is going on mere feet from their seats...I would be moving back in case that bear jumps the little barrior and wouldnt be just sitting there bored.

Mankind at it's finest.

I feel sorry the monkey and the bear.

On the other hand, some of the comments under the video truly is comedy-gold:

- Did anyone else think the bear riding a bicycle was enough entertainment in itself? What a bonus!!
- the monkey should have peddled faster
- thats one way to win a bike race
- Well that escalated quickly.
- Even in nature, road rage is real.
- Second monkey was like time to get outta here
- I think we now know the bear's motivation to go fast.
- Won't be easy training another monkey to ride a bike. Hope the next one is faster.
- Bear was a sore loser
- Note to self: Don't cut into the bear's lane on the highway
- See? Even Asian Monkeys can't drive
- So....would this be considered roadkill?

What did they think would happen when the bear catches the monkey? Do you know what happens when the grey hound catches the rabbit?

This type of thing is pretty much banned in most civilised countries.

However, the Chinese have a serious contempt for animal rights, such as their extracting bile from bears in their “farms”. Just stick “Chinese +bear +bile” in your favourite search engine and click on images. If you don’t mind seeing a bear eat a monkey, then you’ll love the abuse meted out in other ways.

Not saying the West is perfect – just look at the abuse of cetaceans in some US amusement parks, but at least they (the West) can spell “animal rights”.

That dumb ass trainer! He practically pushed the monkey in front of the bear !!

By not looking back to see where the bear was, before pushing the monkey off again, was freaking stupid.

That chain of events led to the monkey being pushed into having dinner with our bear buddy.

The one at fault here was the man who stupidly walks into the path of the bears bike, which hits him and knocks him into the monkeys bike which then falls over. The bear and monkey find themselves in the same space, with the result of one less bike-riding monkey in the world.

EDIT:Starfoxxx, I posted this without seeing your post above, so I second your motion of blaming the guy who walks into the bears path. The primate's blood is on his hands (literally).

Sorry to have no feelings about the bear and monkey here but that actually gave me my best laugh of the day....especially the comments after the video.

Dumb Fecking chinese and their lack of respect for anything living which they haven't tried to eat already.....

Sad world we live in when this is entertainment.....! I bet they beat the bear later to punish it for ''its's'' wrong doing....

I wonder sometimes if mother nature has a plan in the pipeline....say H7N9 just to ''cull'' the over populas peoples of this dumb planet....

Because it's China. Most audience members watched a grandparent slaughter live animals before they could even walk. Nothing with a pulse goes untapped over there. All protein, all the time.

I dont blame the Bear one bit, This is tortue, to make animals ride bikes. WTF
