Hi guys, I am a new member from Montreal, Quebec. I have been reading many threads on here since a couple of months and I decided to join. The reason that I did not join sooner is that english is not my first language so i felt like i couldn't be able to express my point of view the way that I would in french. So here i am, finaly decided to join and give my best ( (My english is not that bad by the way...it is just that it is not my first language
) AND thanks to the ATS staff for this truly amazing website where I can finaly share about different topics that have fascinated me since childhood.

so I guess this is it for my little introduction! lol

Have a nice day everybody!

No worries, most of us that speak English still can't express ourselves properly when using it.

Make the most of it...

OK, everyone out of the pool. Just kidding.

Welcome aboard. Your English is fine. Much better than my French sorry to say.

I have a question for our friends from La Belle Province(I hope I got that right), what are your thoughts on the new Liberal leader?

LMAO loaded question.... Justin Trudeau is nothing but an idioligy relived by his father's name. He is an empy shell with no experience in politics. I would of prefered to see someone like Denis Codère in charge of the Liberals and I might of even voted for him even if I'm not a Liberal.

Justin Trudeau is a good speaker but is he a good achiever?

I see him taking the reigns in the second election down the road. Harper will most likely get a majority again next time around. And yes, that sucks.

To be honest, I don't have a strong opinion about Trudeau for the moment. I'll wait for him to make some proofs and convince the country that he is more than a pretty face..and a trudeau.

Plus, there is a lot going on in provincial and municipal politics over here. Organized crime have infiltrated the construction industry (It's been like that since a long time, but now it's coming out) and our money from taxes have been used for bribes. The "Commission Charbonneau" was enacted in 2011 to examine activites involving colusion and corruption in plublic contracts. Since then, dozen of big names in this industry have testified and two mayor (Montreal and Laval) resigned. Last week, the ex-mayor of laval have been arrested by the anti-corruption forces along with some major construction entrepreneur.

Anyways...That's a little resume, it has been going on for more than a year now and the truth is slowly coming out. (Of course, not THE Truth, but we a least know what was happening during all those years with our money.
