Syria Latakia's district cleared from terrorists

The Syrian army has conducted an operation around Syria's northwestern province of Latakia, clearing a district from terrorists and rebel groups.
According to Al-Alam, militants have suffered heavy losses and ran to nearby mountains around Kherbat Soulas district.

Kherbat Soulas is one of the main hideouts of militants especially al-Nusra terrorists.

Syria has been experiencing a deadly unrest since March 2011 when foreign-backed terrorists took over Syrian people's peaceful call for change in the country's political establishment.

The western-backed insurgency has led to death of many people, including large numbers of Syrian army and security personnel.
