Caught on Tape: Shotgun-Wielding Thug Finds Himself Staring Down the Barrel of His Own Gun After 'Victim' Fights Back

A New Orleans man decided to fight back against a shotgun-wielding attacker who attempted to rob him at around 5 a.m. Saturday morning. Instead of hoping for the best and following the criminal’s orders to give up his cash, the would-be victim yanked the shotgun from the robber’s hands and sent him running for his life.

The man was approached moments later by two black men, one of which was apparently the attacker, in a black four-door sedan, according to police. Hilariously, the driver of the car reportedly tried to negotiate with the man, saying “give me my gun back and I’ll give

A situation like that can't be any more dangerous. That guy was lucky as hell.

Aren't ya just so glad we have camera's that capture these events after the fact?

It is an amazing story that could have turned out very differently.

Even more so the would be attacker comes back and asks for his shotgun back!.

A similar event occurred right around the corner.

Agree...

Though I do have to take pleasure in the fact that not all of us are drones. There are still people of action in this world.

What people need to be aware of all criminals are not inept, anyone who thinks they are going to always go running have another thing coming.

The liberal bedwetters will be here shortly claiming that the almost victim should have just called the police. I am sure that they will find someway to blame him for his refusal to be victimized.

Love it love it love it. Not necessarily the smart move, but this criminal was an idiot for getting that close with the gun, the guy saw his chance, and took it.

Yea what he pulled isn't smart. Is he brave? Yes, very much so, but it's not worth dying over your wallet.

You're right Neo. That was a dangerous and completely stupid move.

But it is good to once in a while get a little confirmation that the good guys do win sometimes, even in a world in which the bad guys tend to have their way.

Something to consider as well; when a thug pulls a gun, said thug expects nothing but compliance and fear. They really don't have a "plan b" if that doesn't happen.

The fact that the robber wanted his gun back cracked me up.

"Um hey....I'll give you your cell phone back that you dropped if you give me back my gun..."

I saw this earlier on my local news, I say good for him lol I'm glad he did not get shot..

But I gotta say if i got their gun I probably would have shot them

Not saying I'm grease lightning, but i have had training in gun grab techniques. And if someone has a chance for an upper hand they should always take it. Fighting back is an option too.

I've had the same training, but it's not 100%. Hell it's barely 50%. If I would have my girl with me your damn right I would do what I have to in order to protect her. That said by myself, I'd give him my wallet and be happy I'm alive.

Me too, I think my adrenaline would have been pumping so hard I couldn't do anything but.

The criminal obviously never thought about actually shooting. Otherwise he would shot a round when the guy grabbed it.
