Saturn At Its Best 2013, and Moon rising.

the planet is exceptionally bright, reaching about the same brightness as famous stars such as Betelgeuse, the planet reaching its opposition point,
when Earth lies directly between it and the sun.
Thanks for the post. I haven't seen Saturn with a scope in years. And remember when (they may still be doing it) people would take their scopes into
public areas and let passerbys look at Saturn and Jupiter and the moon? That would be both a good evenings entertainment for the owner of the scope as
well as doing a good deed in the process.
