Hi,
I'm from the UK and have been "lurking" as a non member here for a while. I really enjoy reading peoples' opinions and some of the great replies
generated from many of the topics.
Being from the UK of course, some langauge stuff doesn't translate that well to good old American, but I hope I'm able to make a decent contribution
to the forum and maybe some new friends.
As a little bit of background, i've spent a majority of my 42 year life abroad through my work. Several years in the Middle East (where I was also
educated and lived as a young 'un), SE Asia (my fave part of the world apart from NY!) and also some parts of Africa.
I'm still more skeptical than I ever was, but only to certain aspects of what is going on around us. I try to keep an open mind and balanced outlook.
One thing I've learned throughout my work and life is that if something obviously smells bad, it very usually is (the only exception being the Durian
fruit perhaps
) .....
That's not to say that I view everything as a conspiracy, although historically our Governments have never been 100% trustworthy and honest......to
me it's just a question of sorting the wheat from the chaff, however nowadays it seems that I'm trying to do it through a smokescreen while wearing
dark glasses....
Anyway, enough about me, please excuse any typo's. poor spelling or punctuation.
Cheers
SJ
