The Unsolved and Grisley Murder Of Brendan Mess, Tamerlan Tsarnaev's Best Friend

I ran across this story this morning and I thought ATS would find it interesting. Apparently there was a triple homicide in Waltham, Massachussets in September of 2011. Three men were stabbed and had their throats slit in a bloody murder scene in an apartment. When the police were called to the scene, they discovered that marijuana had been scattered over the three men's bodies. The crime is still unsolved.

The most intriguing nugget from the big Boston Globe profile of the Tsarnaev Brothers (the brothers suspected of carrying out the Boston Marathon attack) is this one:

Gym owner Allan said that Tamerlan had once introduced him to an American, Brendan Mess, whom Tamerlan described as his best friend.

Two years ago, Mess and two other men were brutally killed in a Waltham apartment where they were found by police with their throats slit and their bodies covered with marijuana. The murders remain unsolved.

it is hard to imagine how three people could have their throats slit at roughly the same time with out running fighting back, or getting other multiple stab wounds

Not exactly the murder method of choice for many bad guys here in the USA.

Thanks for the info, it's good to gather as much information with the Boston case as it seems we are being flooded by so much information through the media it's hard to piece together what is true from false.

Without having the least bit of info of what that crime scene looked like, the placement of the bodies, what the victims look like, etc....you jump to your conclusion.

Hysterical.

What if the 3 people were trained military servants? Still so easy? Or professional fighters? Or a plethora of other things.

Maybe, the brother had talked to the friend, maybe told him things he should'nt have about the future,maybe what he was going to do was weighing on his mind and he had to talk to somebody.

After all he was only a kid.

The two others were collateral damage...

The idea you wouldn't fight back because you're a stoner is ridiculous. We're not talking about heroin addicts passed out on the floor here. If you had a couple beers would also not be able to fight back?

That in no way is an explanation for three guys having their throats cut without apparently fighting back.

Are you forgeting that: Brendan Mess was Tamerlan Tsarnaev's best friend
Why would he murder his best friend ?
Do you know for a fact that the 3 murderd were "potheads"??

Maybe the murders are what set the brothers off onto a direction of distruction.

You need to reign in that speculation. Things are not nearly as simple as they seem these days. The demonization of muslims in the West really needs to stop. How can noone see that you are all being played like fiddles?

Not just that but all three were athletic. Brenden was into martial arts, but he did have a couple of marijuana arrests. The last one being in 2008 for possession with intent to distribute. So the kid was a small time pot dealer. None of the neighbors heard or saw anything and the men lived directly above their landlord. I am thinking that these guys were probably asleep when they were attacked. Cops said that they suspected the perps and victims definitely knew each other.

Here is something I question. If Tamerlan was a devout Muslim why would he be best friends with a pot head? I mean were not talking about Mohammed Atta who liked pork chops, boozing, and strippers!

I watched a short memorial video on youtube to Brenden. It was in a backyard with a bunch of other people his age. They were all lounging around and partying. I didn't see Tamerlan in the video.

Anyway...just some thoughts.

what about if there was a relation ship with the fbi and the vics found out or threatened that relationship in some way
