Just saw the following come across my Twitter feed:

"A man has reportedly walked into a Hollywood Hooters claiming to have an explosive device. Story developing. (CBS LA)"

So I went to a cam for that area and it certainly looks like the BLVD is closed down... www.earthcam.com...

trying to get some more info.

S & F

Why have they become so mentally ill and open to media/govt control???

Look around in US:

most everyone's a social(or psychotic) parrot.

So far can't find anything really indicating that this is happening though on the webcam their do seem to be people looking down one end of the street.

I see people walking around deciding which restaurant they are going to eat at tonight and which pub they will drop in on.

But is that a cop car parked cross ways on the street?

Peace

There was a thread earlier this week about a possible military type drill in LA on the 18th or 19th.
Maybe this is it?

That said, I'd stay away from anywhere in the US that's doing a drill.......

From page 2 of that thread

A local newspaper has informed me that the drill has been delayed until June, I do not have the exact date at the moment. It appears this may have been changed as a result of what happened in Boston.

It would be in poor taste to go through with the drill now, under the circumstances.

So if it's postponed .....????

Pretty darn scary.. reminds me of the internet cafe massacre that would have been.

Basically any public place someone can walk in explode a bomb or massacre dozens of people even if they're a really frail teenager, despite loads of fed, state, local & private security.

On the live feed looks like 4 cops and 1 fire vehicle on site.
Not much happening , just people standing around right now.

Also more info in this article: www.hollywoodreporter.com...

A stretch of Hollywood Boulevard is shut down after a man notified the Los Angeles Police Department that he had brought a lunch box containing a bomb inside the Hooters restaurant located across from the Chinese Theatre.

The stretch of road between Orange and Highland remains closed at this time as police evaluate the situation.
The call was received around 4:45 p.m. PT, though it is not clear whether the suspect remains inside the restaurant.
"He indicated he went into the restaurant and said he had a lunch pail, and in there was a bomb,” a spokesperson for the LAPD tells The Hollywood Reporter. “He left that behind and from there, everybody scrambled and called the police."
Businesses in the area have since been evacuated.
A suspect has not yet been arrested.
The news comes two days after a bomb threat at Hollywood-based news station KTLA turned out to be a hoax.

$5 here says the bomb is made of gun powder, not plastic.

Out of all the places they go to Hooters?

Where's the logic in that?

I'm sure there were other places they could of thought of..

Maybe a disgruntled employee is what I'm thinking.

Either that or they wanted a free meal.

Good looking on the OP, was searching news for more info found this...
Cant say its related but i cant say it isnt...

CBS Los Angeles

The Cal State Los Angeles campus was evacuated Thursday afternoon due to a threat of a bomb.

Also this from 2 days ago...
L.A. Times

Los Angeles police said Tuesday night that a bomb threat that forced employees at the KTLA-TV studios in Hollywood to be evacuated was a hoax.

Given recent events another hoax wouldn't be such a bad thing
