I truly dislike the arrongant attitude of this man. He appears, to me, self-centered and self-serving. His opinions are narrow, ignorant and inflexible. I don't trust people who don't even consider the possiblity that they might be wrong - it's called 'Unconscious Incompetence' and is very dangerous in leaders.

Four stages of Compentence (works for Wisdom too)

Unconscious Incompentence (run away - danger Will Robinson)
Conscious Incompentence (beginning of wisdom)
Conscious compentence
Unconscious compentence

He doesn't stand a chance in hell against the "Hillary/Michelle ticket"

We are sooooo doomed!

This is it, America. You wanted a young, charismatic leader, and there he went, allowing drones to cover our skies, allowing total disregard for due process, allowing for spying on internet users, trying to chisel away at your Second Amendment rights. Change? Yeah, for the worse.

Now you'll get to choose another young, charismatic leader, one who is the polar opposite of Obama. A Constitutionalist, a patriot, a brilliant mind, and a fresh perspective we need to fight the deficit and make our country whole and healthy again.

If you let this chance pass you up like you did Rand's father, then there is no hope for us anymore, and we truely and absolutely deserve every ounce of tyranny and chaos that falls upon us, which it inevitably will otherwise.

Why will you vote and campaign for him? What stances that he takes on the issues do you agree with? What is it about him that you like?

Does that include the $600,000 he gave to the US Treasury out of his own money?

Provide me with stances I should take issue with, and I will let you know.

I am still wanting a true Libertarian in office, but voting for Gary Johnson pokes a finger in the eye, but that is about all it does.

He is as close to what I believe in, that has a chance to win.

But at this point, Rosanne Bar is a better choice then the Tyrant 0bama.

I normally wouldn't vote Rep and Dem because of the candidates, but I def vote for Rand over Benghazi Clinton who has ties with the illuminati.

Rand knows how to play his hand. He has to get on the GOP good side to be able to get the nomination. But I think this is all a deception to fool the establishment.

Doesn't matter if he is anti abortion or anti gay marriage. Those are insignificant topics to distract and fear monger.

There are more threats to the republic at the moment. He already says he could care less about those issues because they are states rights and decision not the federal government for control.

I'm not sure he has my vote.

I mean the guy attached a friggin Fetal Personhood amendment to a flood insurance bill in order to make it fail. Not entirely sure he's on the side of the "liberty movement".

I do not favor abolishing the Department of Education. I believe everyone has a right to basic health care. I support the civil rights act. I support marriage equality. I support birthright citizenship. Those are enough reasons for me to vote for anyone but Rand Paul.

Isn't the timing of this sort of announcement - rather interesting.

I voted for his dad, only to watch his son back Romney...

I'll keep my eye on him as a potential... but the timing is in poor taste. In my opinion.

Its not official, its from a source at a breakfast during casual conversation.

Duke grad. Ophthalmologist. Idiot.

I realize that public figures open themselves up for this, but you would think we could have a discussion here without the cat calls.

I expect this from the CNN comment section, not ATS.

I think you're seeing things. Maybe you should call them in as UFOs.

Besides, Rand Paul would do worse than Romney.

I might vote for Ron Paul.
