By a margin of 92 percent to 7 percent, voters supported background checks, the Quinnipiac University telephone poll showed. In households with a gun, 91 percent were in favor, while 8 percent were opposed, Quinnipiac said.

Anyone want to know how a poller knows what households own guns, and where they get their numbers from?

Keep going - you're proving my point beautifully.

What point would that be?

That 90% figure is BS for obvious reasons

Your thread title and premise in your thread is completely false and mis-leading.

The poll didn't ask if they thought gun control was AN important issue...it asked what issue they thought was the MOST important issue.

What do you think is the most important problem facing the country today?

I think gun control is a huge issue...but I wouldn't clasify it as the countries biggest issue...the economy, healthcare and unemployment still take that spot.

This doesn't mean that only 4% think gun control is a big issue....nice try though.

Nope

The poll didn't ask if they thought gun control was AN important issue...it asked what issue they thought was the MOST important issue.

And to most Americans other things were more important than gun control.

The 1% usually get what they want, so that's 3% more than is necessary. Sadly.

The Economy and the uptick in people worrying about Unemployment should be a warning sign for this Administration.

But law abiding citizens are this Administrations focus.

Lets face it. We have a do-nothing President.

Which means polls are pointless.

Polls are like top ten lists. People with IQ's in the 70-80 range love to make them. People with IQ's in the 40-60 range love to read them. People with IQ's in the 10-30 range love to argue about them.

I disagree.
