Much to the surprise of many I'm sure, The day of the Lord or The Lord's day is not Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday or Saturday.

The Day of The Lord is Future! Observe the following scriptures. To those who refuse to believe the Holy Bible is truth you might want to just move on. Just keep your head buried in the sand. I don't have time to argue with any here.

"For the day of the Lord of hosts shall be upon every one that is proud and lofty, and upon every one that is lifted up; and he shall be brought low:" Isaiah 2:12

"Howl ye; for the day of the Lord is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty." Isaiah 13:6

"Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it." Isaiah 13:9

"For the day is near, even the day of the Lord is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of the heathen." Ezekiel 30:3

"Alas for the day! for the day of the Lord is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come." Joel 1:15

"Blow ye the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain: let all the inhabitants of the land tremble: for the day of the Lord cometh, for it is nigh at hand; " Joel 2:1

"And the Lord shall utter his voice before his army: for his camp is very great: for he is strong that executeth his word: for the day of the Lord is great and very terrible; and who can abide it?" Joel 2:11

"The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of the Lord come." Joel 2:31

"Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the Lord is near in the valley of decision." Joel 3:14

"Woe unto you that desire the day of the Lord! to what end is it for you? the day of the Lord is darkness, and not light." Amos 5:18

"Shall not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? even very dark, and no brightness in it?" Amos 5:20

"For the day of the Lord is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head." Obadiah 1:15

"The great day of the Lord is near, it is near, and hasteth greatly, even the voice of the day of the Lord: the mighty man shall cry there bitterly." Zephaniah 1:14

"Behold, the day of the Lord cometh, and thy spoil shall be divided in the midst of thee." Zechariah 14:1

"Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the coming of the great and dreadful day of the Lord:" Malachi 4:5

"The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and notable day of the Lord come:" Acts 2:20

"For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night." I Thessalonians 5:2

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up." II Peter 3:10

GOD SAYS WHAT HE MEANS AND MEANS WHAT HE SAYS.

Any can be saved from the wrath to come if only they call upon the name of the Lord Jesus Christ to save them. Ask Him to save you and He will. He is faithful and just to forgive those who ask. Come to Him just as you are. You cannot be saved by your own works. Jesus did all the work on the cross. He died for the sins of the whole world! We are saved by grace. It is a free gift!!!!

Yes, the age of grace just might end as fire is raining down. The earth will not be destroyed this time around by a flood. It will be by fire. But, many things must happen, i.e the manifestation of events recorded in the Book of Revelations.

This generation will, well let me just say get ready!

Nobody will know when and how this will happen. We can only follow His word.

Seems like the "Day of our Lord" has been near for several thousand years now! Yes, it's the future, as you say. But the future never arrives. We only have today.

Our salvation is nearer than when we first believed and we have more than just today. We who have put our trust in the Lord, will be with Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity, him and the whole family of God!

God is longsuffering, not willing that any should perish! That's why you are still breathing!

I thought our salvation was bought a couple thousand years ago, on the cross.

We who have put our trust in the Lord, will be with Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity, him and the whole family of God!

Do you have to wait for something to happen first. I thought "God" was with us always

God is longsuffering, not willing that any should perish!

Yet all do and will.

That's why you are still breathing!

For a time, but all that were, are not.

They will say, "Where is this 'coming' he promised? Ever since our ancestors died, everything goes on as it has since the beginning of creation."

2 Peter 3:4

Yep seems about right...

Is that somehow proof of a prophecy? Wash, rinse and repeat?

Nothing has changed and nothing ever will. Cycles come and they come again.

There is nothing new under the sun, so man has nothing better to do than to eat, drink and be merry, I say!

We can just as well discuss what santa´s favorite reindeer is.

It is all myths. Why not look into the quran for answers? Or hindu or buddhist texts? Who is saying that the bible is even the right document to research?

The Old Testament Day of the Lord has two purposes; the saving of God's people and the suppression of the wicked (which come to the same thing if the wicked are troubling God's people).
Amos rebukes the people of his own time because they're looking forward to it, and fail to realise that they really belong in the second group.

The New Testament version is the same thing, except that Paul now calls it "the day of the Lord Jesus".

All of these scriptures in the OP are good and true.

"The day of Jehovah" is approaching very much. You have it in your title as LORD, but if you notice in your Bible every time they write the title LORD or GOD in all caps as opposed to only capping the first letter, it means they have removed Jehovah's name and replaced it with a title.

Who will survive Armageddon, aka "The day of Jehovah?" Paul tells us:

(Romans 10:13) . . .For “everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.

Yes, it is imperative that people turn to the living God Jehovah and practice his will and exercise justice in their dealings with their fellow humans. But how will people, who have been blinded by Satan call upon Jehovah God, a God whom they have not even heard? No wonder Paul in the very next verse asks that questions, and then shows us why Jehovah needs to raise up witnesses for his name to preach to the people everywhere so that they may come to know Jehovah by his name:

(Romans 10:14, 15) . . .However, how will they call on him in whom they have not put faith? How, in turn, will they put faith in him of whom they have not heard? How, in turn, will they hear without someone to preach? 15 How, in turn, will they preach unless they have been sent forth? Just as it is written: “How comely are the feet of those who declare good news of good things!”

Indeed how beautiful are the feet of Jehovah's witnesses who are declaring aboard in all the earth in over 239 lands and island nations his beautiful name and his wonderful kingdom good news! When that preaching work has been accomplished to Jehovah's satisfaction the end will come:

(Matthew 24:14) And this good news of the kingdom will be preached in all the inhabited earth for a witness to all the nations; and then the end will come.

Who will stand in that day? Will you call upon Jehovah's name? Will you come to the "mountain of the house of Jehovah" before it is too late?

"And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed." Romans 13:11 (That is written to us, members of the family of God in this dispensation of time)

The salvation I refer to will be manifested when, This mortal shall put on immortality. (Those who are alive at Christ's gathering together of the body of Christ, i.e the saved) and those who fell asleep (died) in Christ will be raised, changed from corruptible to an incorruptible.

We were saved 2,000 years ago and it will be manifested in those who have believed (born again of God's spirit) and trusted in the work done on the cross.

To pick at every word is not really a manifestation of love on your part. So, I have to wonder what your true motive is in doing so.

My intent in writing about "Day of The Lord" was not to get into a contest of who can be more witty. It was to open blind eyes concerning this matter and declare that the Day of the Lord is nearer than when we first believed. Same goes for those who refuse to believe.

That unbelief will not stop the Day of the Lord from coming!

It's been nearly 3000 years since Isaiah started talking about the coming Day of the Lord. Every generation since that time has believed that they were living in the last days.

Isn't it time that we stopped looking to some outside "Lord" and his "Kingdom" to descend upon the earth and fix everything for us. Shouldn't we be concerned about living our lives and the charge of responsibility to future generations that we have NOW?

If Jesus is coming, he'll get here when he gets here. In the meantime, live your life, plan for the future, plan to leave a wonderful legacy behind for your children. Eat, drink and be merry.

The day of the Lord is the day of visitation upon "man"...individuals.Yahoshua ... which is the NAME of the Son of God and means Gods salvation.A name is the thing or persons named NATURE.....EVERY MAN will have his "day" of visitation....salvation.Everyone is "being" saved by Yahoshua. On the day of the Lord they will perceive (know without a doubt by experience) salvation and who and what God is because... they will be in Gods presence.

The Lords day is not a "date" in history ...no one knows the "day" and hour for a very good reason.... it is not a fixed historical event. There are no "historical "end times ....... that is not even in the scriptures ....as aren't the vast majority of "fictional religious" events.
The testimony of Yahoshua (Gods salvation) IS the spirit of prophecy...nothing else is.All predictions of historical events and times of "end times" are lies.Prophecy is about one thing and one thing only ...the SALVATION of God...not the DESTRUCTION and doom of God.ALL the predictions and interpretations of Revelation are FALSE and made by false(liars) prophets(that are not prophets nor teachers). They have not heard or had ANYTHING revealed from God the Father ...only from their perverse carnal minds.

If Yahoshua is not saving EVERYONE then he is a liar and failed miserably...but that is patently false.Yahoshua IS saving EVERYONE..in their own order. The Kingdom of God COMES without observation...it is not coming here or over there..it is IN (sown)your midst...either growing .....metaphorically.....good wheat or is growing tares or is dormant.TARES look like wheat but are false prophets.... purveyors of doom and destruction by 'their" God...they are not ignorant heathens(the dormant seed)

The Day of the Lord is a GOOD thing. It is the destruction of all the lies of men that the God they believe in ....is NOT real ..... and the God they don't believe in ....IS real.It is the GOOD news of the Kingdom of God.The salvation of ALL mankind.
