If i remember rightly the US joined both World Wars a little late in the game.

By the way Australians VOTED to keep there Monarch.

Remember history judges great nations not only on the fact that they became great, but also on what they do once in that position. Or to use a bushism "how they spend there political capital".

They'd be laughing if Nader won. No, they are more shocked, saddened, confused, angry, bitter and above all afraid. They're also feeling a great connection to all of the Kerry supporters out there, had it been up to all of the world, he would have won by a landslide.

I understand if you like America, I really do too. That is why I want the country where I was born to be great again. Love and human understanding should come before blind patriotism. I've been doing a lot of soul searching since the election, as the rest of the world has as well.

The best way I can describe the feelings would be much like, if say your hero turned out to be a fake. In places like Canada, the EU, Japan and Australia the US people were really actually looked up to, even when their politicians were not. After all, they saved the world from Nazism and such. Now, however, the world really does feel let down, if Bush had lost the popular vote but won on electoral votes they wouldn't feel so bad. They trusted the Americans to make the right choice, and less than half of them did.

Americans never asked for the responsibility they hold, and until now they have shown remarkable courage, honor and wisdom in what they fight for, be it against Nazis or against their own government's unjust wars in places like Vietnam. You have frightened the world America, and they have great reason to be afraid.

May you make it through this and see the error of your choice.

And to all of you Kerry supporters out there: I know it looks bleak but please keep fighting! The world is by and large behind you, and if it helps any, we got your back. It's people like you that keep some hope for America alive out here in the rest of the world. We're all rooting for you.

Too many good ideas get rejected just because they were presented by the wrong person. It's better to argue ideas. Taking the confrontation attitude will instantly polarize the opponent thus making things just harder.

Besides liberal vs conservative is far far too simplified way to classify people.

America has a big enough problem trying to bring all people back to a civil tone. Seeing headlines such as this

How can 59,054,087 people be so dumb?

shows the hypocrisy of some of those who say that they like America but hate it's leaders.

It also shows a lack of understanding of the spirit of America, because headlines such as that will only tend to make us pull together.

O.k...listen...I won't argue any more, I love you, I love americans it's the politics and closed mind that gets on my nerves and SUCK my energies...

My idea is that, we should get to know each other more to understand why someone think in a special way....Everybody in this world is UNIQUE wheter they live in canada or USA or irak...everyone lives in a different way and I accept that

Is really bizzare. At no point did I interfere with anyones
choice to indulge in porn. I pointed out destructive
possibilities in a conversation I was having with CARGO.
Companies that sell beer/wine/hard liquor also point out
the destructive possibilities of their product ...
'don't drink and drive' etc. .... Cigarrett packages contain
a warning label about cancer. This isn't interfering, it is
prudent instructions on how to handle their product. Not
everyone who smokes will get cancer, but it is wise to warn
ahead of time that it could happen. Not everyone who drinks
will get in a car accident and kill themselves or others, but it
is wise to warn that it could happen. Not everyone who looks
at porn will get addicted, but it is wise to warn that it can happen.

NO - I was not going to post any studies that show porn is

hate of Hollywood and that they see the garbage it spews

litany of complaints against the United States. My comment
