This headline just got put at the top of CNN.com and I did not see another thread in reference to it.

www.cnn.com...

The thing that I have been thinking for awhile and that this new revelation screams to me is that the U.S. has been doing a much better job building a case for a pre-emptive strike than they did in Iraq.

It is really starting to look like this is going to end up being a war.

I just saw this as well things are for sure frightening over there and those threats can actually be back up.

The site I read this from was the Daily Beast.. At least I know this is confirmed source now. Even though they said the reliability is low. But certainly something we can't take lightly anymore. You have a mad man saying he will follow through with threats and turns out he can

The USA and its allies should have spent less time chasing phantom WMD in Iraq and Angry Arabs in Afganistan and took out North Korea Instead.

I'm confused.
Are you saying the missiles have not been lowered?

well yea... short answer:

3 stage tae'po dong 2 (10.000km +)

For alaska only:

3 stage tae'po dong 1
or
2 stage tae'po dong 2

But... well you have to consider the defenses of course taking into account the trajectory (some are harder to intercept like depressed trajectories, some are easier or "normal" or "nominal" - the normal and expected search range - or unexpected ones like lofted trajectories - all these depend on the type of thing headed towards number of stages etc you since it depends on burn out altitude, time, range, etc) then some other issues like decoys that go along with the warheads... but its not on the realm of the IMPOSSIBLE. Its just very very improbable and unlikely to occur.

This article is nothing but speculation. Like most media, it has no substance.

From what I read they had up to 5 prepared to launch and they just lowered one and moved it. Mind you this missile still probably have the fuel in it. since it can last a week before the fuel needs to be dispense. Can anyone give move insight if missiles such as the Koreans and be moved after being fueled?

Can't we get one NK thread to rule them all?

Stop helping them monger, NK can't do anything to anyone but themselves.

Interactive map at CNN released some hours ago:

edition.cnn.com...

In that calculation 10 000 km is estimated range for UNHA-3 missile.

I work as a retirement and pension specialist for one of the very largest US / worldwide companies and today I was speaking with an ex-pat living and working in South Korea about his pending retirement. At the end of the call he stated that the only reason he is retiring on such short notice is so that he can return to the US. He and his family are utterly terrified of what may be coming, and in his own words they "are getting out this coming weekend".

There was real fear in his voice that sounded very urgent, and for me it was pretty scary to hear a 61 year old man talking like he did.

I hate how stupid the government treats us. Frickin duh!! If they have the ability to turn nuclear waste into an atomic bomb, im pretty sure they figured out how to connect it to a missle.

So basically they have missiles that haven't actually been tested that can reach U.S mainland. What if these are already been fitted to their submarines. Just a thought to consider

"May have"... That's really the key words to the congress-mans thoughts.

On a "May have" basis, we could justify a lot of things. Even things which have "May have" a major impact on a lot of people.

Hopefully common sense and diplomacy will win the day.

Anyway, I may have a cup of tea now. Hopefully that doesnt elicit a justified tactical strike on my kitchen, as my tea could be labbled as a WMD, since I plan to decimate a few cookies with it..

eee.
