My eyes bugged out when I seen this title. Makes sense. Disarm the people so they can force their will at gunpoint. I haven't seen this on MSM. Not entirely certain if it is true. Sickening and sends a chill if it is true. The total lack of accountability is just astounding.

****One of the gun-grabbing members of Michael Bloomberg’s organization, Mayors Against Illegal Guns, recently found himself trying to lure a man into a sexual encounter through the liberal use of alcohol. When the charm and alcohol didn’t do the trick, James ‘Jay’ Schiliro (R) decided to go a different route – firing a handgun into a wall in an attempt at intimidation.****

I wouldn't have too much of a problem believing it true. Did you get a look at that guy? Even if he aimed a gun at my head I'm not sure I would have sex with him even to save my life!

Why don't these mayors or Blooberg actually go after illegal guns and people who commit gun crimes. It's so funny with most of these Liberal groups they actually stand for the opposite of their name.

Drunk, firing off his gun to scare a young boy into having sex with him! This was indeed shocking....but it all made sense once I realized this was a Republican mayor

According to the Examiner, Schiliro was one of 600 mayors who recently signed a letter asking the U.S. Senate to enact tougher gun laws. - See more at: menrec.com... y5j.dpuf

A sick dirt bag by any other label is still a dirt bag...There has to be something in the water or food source to make so many idiots.....

What does politics have to do with this crime?

That is funny, kinda like how I am not surprised about how many Democrats out of NYC get charged with taking bribes. Stupidity transcends party lines
What I found funny was that this guy had not just "a gun" but a collection. Not hypocritical in the least. I would really question any politician who signs up with Bloomberg.

I suppose just as homophobia can shelter homosexual desire tyrannical nanny state prohibitionists can be trying to shelter their desire to run off on psycho sociopathic benders.

It is only hypocritical if your brain is incable of thinking beyond binary terms.

The org he belongs to "Mayors Against Illegal Guns" is against just that ILLEGAL guns...and to that end wants comprehensive background checks.

The premise that gun fanatics begin with... folks that think there should be ANY restrictions equal folks that want to confiscate and ban all guns...is faulty, wrong, conveniently dense thinking...and doesn't refelct the American public's nuanced view...nowhere even close.

So resolve that for me. Define "illegal" guns then describe how "comprehensive background checks" fixes the situation.

So just how "comprehensive"are background checks when criminals don't even bother?

That's right for those who are dumb enough to follow the law aren't the ones anyone has to worry about.

That is till under debate if Bloomberg's little posse is against legal guns also. For politicians, legal has such a different meaning. For Bloomberg it's even more so. The Mayors against illegal guns would have more credibility if they worked with the courts to prosecute gun crimes instead of letting those type of charges get dropped in plea deals. Kind of distorts the purpose of laws if they can be negotiated away.

Fast and Furious come on now them Mayors were against "illegal guns" whoops my bad not really they are just against guns in the hands on honest law abiding citizens.

Every gun a criminal uses or owns originates with a gun manufacturer and is sold down the channel.

Less than 15% of all crime guns are from thefts.

That means 85% of those guns are at some point sold to criminals legally or illegally.

For each gun, it crosses from legal ownership to illegal by either a criminal employing a straw purchaser who can pass a background check, who buys from a LFD OR they take the path of least resistance and exploit the gun-show loophole where no background check what-so-ever is required and they or an agent can cash and carry as many weapons as they like.

Universal background checks are being fought by an NRA that is massively funded by gun manufacturers who don't want to lose the revenue stream that crime guns represent down-stream.

They exploit idealogy and paranoia to convince folks to argue that criminals and felons should own guns.

And it is a little frightening how easily thier BS effects people today.

Uhhh.... Were those mayors running the ATF Fast and Furious program? Was the ATF's intent to arm cartels? Or was it just a eff-up? And whatever you answer...if you thought it was a bad idea then to funnel guns to criminals, why are you all for it now? Lastly...are you remotely aware of how horribly you need to molest logic to come up with posts like that?

Making up statistics eh?

For each gun, it crosses from legal ownership to illegal by either a criminal employing a straw purchaser who can pass a background check,

Yep Lanza is a prime example of a "straw purchase". laws did nothing to stop it.

Universal background checks are being fought

Yep it is being fought by people like me who thinks we do not need to ask government's permission to own a firearm.

They exploit idealogy and paranoia to convince folks to argue that criminals and felons should own guns

Oh that deserves a whole new thread on exploitation of ideology of course that covers Mayors against "illegal Guns". and the current regime.

Should have been right there in the thick of it, but they weren't.

Should be able to answer than one pretty easy considering the twisted "logic" of the pro government anti gun "logic" prevalent in the media, and on these boards.

No. it was not mayors but other anti-gun crusaders who got that mess going and since executive privilege was used to conceal information we can safely assume that it was politically motivated. It was reported that a gun used in a cartel hit was sold by the second man in charge of the Phoenix ATF office. [url=http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/12/19/ex-atf-official-gun-ends-up-at-mexican-cartel-shootout-that-killed-beauty-queen/#ixzz2FXlO593u]Link[/u rl] So forgive me if I am not all giddy of gov't action to "regulate" fire arms. Personally I think that the sale of fire arms by a gun owner over the internet is a horrible idea. I just don't have it in me trust people I don't know over the internet. The gun show loop hole that is paraded about is such a misnomer,at least in my state. Enough state police working those shows and being customers to dissuade law breaking.
