I am not very big into movies, actually I am very picky about what movies I watch.
Every once in a while I get in the mood for a a good horror flick, how ever I don't really pay attention to what is out there (I don't own a T.V.) so I am relying on ATS to help me find something to watch.
Here is a little bit about what I do and don't like.

I am particularly fond of zombie flicks and big Resident Evil fan. I couldn't stand Zombie Land. Shawn of the Dead isn't really my style either. Dawn of the Dead however.....

Any recommendations for zombie flicks would need to have been made in the last year or so.

I liked the first Silent Hill, but I couldn't sit through the second one. *yawn*

I also liked the Ring, and the Grudge was ok. House on Silent Hill was another one I liked.

Paranormal Activity didn't quite cut it for me. However, I lean more towards the paranormal type of movies.

I don't watch exorcism type movies or movies involving possession. Bad childhood experience I still need therapy for LOL.

So what do you think ATS? Can you guys help me out?

How about instead of people becoming Zombies,
ALL other creatures become zombies.

Break out the cans of Black Flag, and Rat Traps.

Just Forget about sleeping at all.

There is a movie that I've seen promos for on Chiller on DirecTV called "Colin"

From IMDb

Our hero Colin is bitten by a Zombie; he dies and returns from the dead. We follow him as he wanders through suburbia during the throes of a cadaverous apocalypse.

I have yet to see it so I can't voice my opinion on it but it seems interesting nonetheless as it centers on Colin's perspective of being a zombie.

Cabin in the Woods is a brilliant movie. Don't read anything about it. The less you know, the better. Even the back of the DVD case gives some stuff away.

Pontypool is incredible. One of the scariest I've seen.

You might like Lake Mungo. It's found footage like Paranormal Activity, moves kind of slow, but is very, very creepy.

Session 9 is a nice creepy movie. It might hew a little close to some stuff you're uncomfortable with, but it might be worth checking out.

If you haven't seen The Thing from the '80s, that's an absolute must.

I liked Cabin in the Woods immensely. It won't scare you but anyone that's into zombies has to see Zombieland. Great flick.

If you've never seen the Omen movies, I'd recommend a marathon of those too.
