Does Arafat Have AIDS?

Very interesting speculation from David Frum's Diary in the National Review

We know he has a blood disease that is depressing his immune system. We know that he has suddenly dropped considerable weight � possibly as much as 1/3 of all his body weight. We know that he is suffering intermittent mental dysfunction. What does this sound like?

Rumours have abounded regarding Arafat's homosexual dalliances and Frum notes that lurid details of orgies with guards can be found in the memoirs of Lt. Gen. Ion Pacepa former head of Romanian intelligence under Ceausescu (apparently captured on video tape)

No wonder Bush dont like him if thats the case, he might be afraid that Arafats got a homo-wedding with a US citizen and run for president in 2008. That explains a lot to me.

It sounds like just what they say it is, leukemia. On the other hand, his symptoms are indicitave of any number of diseases. Now, if Arafat suddenly developed Karposi's sarcoma or toxic plasmosis, then I would say AIDS.

Palestinian officials have said for several days their leader is feeling much better since he arrived in France and he does not have leukemia, cancer or any type of poisoning.
