Well according to some former ultra-orthodox jews who were taught by Rabbi Kaduri, alot of jews do believe in Yeshua, theyre just afraid of speaking out because they will get kicked out of synogogue. Same thing happened 2000 years ago, many who saw the things Christ did, believed but they were afraid of being excommunicated.

As for "rabid" christians. Most of the zionists do not understand that Jerusalem's ancient name is Zion, and Jesus spoke out against Zion and according to Isaiah 50 Zion was divorced, and she recieved that divorce certificate when Jerusalem was destroyed twice 2000 years ago all within the span of 70 years. So don't hate on the ignorant christians. Most of them dont study Torah. The entire reason there's New Jerusalem in Revelation is old Zion gets destroyed.

I remember reading about Rabbi Kaduri in various anti-missionary websites. Many Jews are upset at the Christians who would go to links to convert to Christianity. Hence they're called anti-missionaries. As an atheist I cannot say who is right and wrong. To me it's just religious believers interacting with different religious believers. It just has its ups and downs. What I do love is seeing how Jews and Christians differ. As well the stories they have to tell about their faith.

Aren't you proud of yourself ? You doubtfully are into things that would absolutely be against what God has taught . So destroy the Bible and you can't be condemned by others or yourself . You have written off one of the things in life that you will not nor can not understand . The fact is that the Bible has told of the time in which you are facing now . Elijiah was taken up in a fiery chariot in plain site of other people before the time of Christ .What do we really know ?? We think we know scientific things only to find years latter we were wrong . Great question! First we need to take into consideration the Jewish custom of that time. In the book of Numbers 1:17-18 we find that the law required that the genealogies were to be through the line of males.

But we also have to remember there was also a sub clause to that law that would allow women to be included to the ancestral line. Numbers 27:8 states that if a man dies with out leaving a son that the heritage is passed on to the daughter and in Numbers 36:6-7 we see the daughters of Salphahad are free to marry anyone as long as it was into their own clan.

Is it possible that Mary had no brothers? The Bible is not very clear but we do have a clue. We know she had a sister( some could consider it to be sister-n-law do to the fact there was no word for during that time) Mary of Cleophas but no mention of brothers John 19:25. Also Jewish custom was if the mother (Mary) was widowed she would have to go to her father, brother or other children so in John 19:27 we find Jesus giving his mother to John. I am still looking into the brother situation with Jesus to be honest because brother and brother can mean meaning things. I am still studying the Greek use of the word so my last observation is flawed but I am working on it..

So is it possible that Mary was the bloodline of David? Yes

Truth has no limit and this is a good example, but we did make innocent people scapegoat's for over 1700 year's whom had already been persecuted by the roman empire so what happens when a people cling so strongly to there identity is they become self obsessed and racist to everybody else and sadly that is what happened to the Jewish people, equals yes but they think they are better than me even though I am one eighth jew in a direct maternal line and despite the fact I am Christian I could claim because of that to be more jew that many of them, but then I am also one eight Maori so I might just eat them instead (joking but what did you think the tongue in the hakka meant).

Umm, this is common knowledge, that Jews do not think Jesus was the Messiah. I do agree with you that there are Christians, too many of them, who think Israel can do no wrong, and these people tend to overlook any horrible acts committed by Israel simply because they think that they are God's chosen people. Maybe this is why the Israeli government always attempts to get their way, and then throws a tantrum like a two year old when they do not, because they think they are somehow special, or better than other people.

Personally I think that some of what modern Christianity teaches is just plain wrong, although I would probably call myself a Christian with what I believe about Christ. Fortunately though this is a decision I have made on my own, and not something I was blindly indoctrinated into, or brainwashed as you say. I will not go into the reasons for this decision on my part, but I just want to show you where I am coming from. If you wanted to get down to the nitty-gritty of Judaism after Christ, I will say that the Jews completely overlooked the fact that Jesus met all of the requirements of their coming Messiah. The main reason they did not accept Him was that they were expecting political revolution and freedom from the Roman Empire.

But if one understands the nature of Jesus, and what He taught, it soon becomes apparent that the Messiah could never have filled this role, for a variety of reasons. Mainly because of the whole served/serving aspect. Jesus did not want to gain popularity, and He did not want to do anything other than what the OT implied, which was save people from their own bad deeds and bad actions towards one another, or sin. The Jews who did not convert put waay too much emphasis on the here and now, as well as on tradition and laws, which really mean nothing. It is surprising just how much of what Jesus taught lines up with some of what we would call "new age" teachings of today. This is even more true if we take into account the teachings of the gnostics, as well as the apocryphal and Dead Sea Scroll texts.

I have actually heard Jews say that they believe they are somehow better than Gentiles, for whatever reason, which is just ridiculous, especially from the people who gave us the 10 commandments, one of which is to love your neighbor as yourself. I will not say all are this way, just like not all Christians are clueless. I do not have enough contact with regular Jews outside of the government of Israel to paint an accurate picture of what the majority of them think of non-Jews. Well, I have no contact with Jews inside the Israeli government either, lol, but their actions are there for the world to see, and those actions are often lacking any sort of piousness, compassion, etc.

A state based on a religion such as Judaism, which teaches to love your neighbors, should not be committing atrocities, and should not attempt to hold the stick over the heads of their allies, such as the US. They should not complain about other countries not falling in line with UN resolutions, while they themselves do not comply with the same resolutions. And they also should not shout anti semitism every single time someone or some other government disagrees with them. This is what really gets me. One really must either be deluded, or feel especially entitled and superior to do such a thing. Talking amongst ourselves here on the web is one thing, but in a position of power one should be humble. Governments should be humble, especially those that supposedly derive their powers from the consent of the governed, which is not really the case in the US anymore.

It is in the sense that the charade continues, but the people have no real rights anymore, if the government wishes to take them away. This is evidenced by what is happening to a number of our Constitutional amendments at the moment, and I do not just mean the 2nd. US citizens are being killed without a trial, people are spending time in prison without trials, etc.

Poor, easily misled, foolish mortals, still squabbling in the year 2013 about some 2000 year old ramblings from some madmen dwelling in the desert, or better said, a small area on a planet, which is surrounded in the Universe by atleast millions, if not billions of Galaxies, Stars, Solar Systems and planets. It's absolute insanity to think that one people have the answers to everything concerning our existence.

I don't usually make a habit of joining this circus side show debate, which is the fraud of all religion. I have to say this though. The only confused people in the world these days that I see, are the sheople who continue to swallow these outdated fairy tale stories instead of actually walking outside of their box late at night, and looking straight up at the one and only true God, which is The Universe.

The Jews killed the God of the Christians.

I wouldn't call the two religions polar opposites by any stretch of the imagination, and it is my understanding that Christianity came about as an offshoot of Judaism; hence the term Judeo-Christian.

And to the OP: I believe there are folks who call themselves Jews for Jesus, so a portion of your original claim would seem to be wrong.

I really don't understand the rant here. As a Christian, I don't see Jewish people as "better than" me. I see them as, according to the Bible, God's chosen nation. That doesn't mean they are better; it simply means He chose them to do certain things through. From that people came the Savior. From them came most of the lessons in the Bible. Many of those were lessons because of the mistakes those people made. Certainly, I wouldn't consider them "better", or "flawless", or anything like that. The errors show that even those God chooses for special attention can and will mess up, and need salvation, too. Of course there will be more mistakes; we are told this. As for Muslims, they deny the deity of Jesus, so their opinions aren't really a good example. That is no different than what some Jewish people do. Some, DO actually follow Him, though. Ever hear of Jews for Jesus? A guy I went to high school with is Jewish, and also saved, and involved in that group.

Those that support Israel do so because God stated we were to do so. Those that stand with them, He blesses, and those that stand against them, He gets rather less than nice towards. That is for His plan, and who are we to argue with that? The entire Bible is important, not just the New Testament. The Old Testament, in fact, is mostly about the coming Messiah. You can't just toss it out.
