yeah i don't quite know what to make of this guys, over the last few months this has been ramping up quite fast and the NK's usual spam threats I'd just consider the norm almost, but of late NK seemly ramped up the rhetoric and the level of confidence.

Its almost like that mouthy kid in the play ground who talks the talk, but usually doesn't have anything to back up his hollow threats, .. This time the kid is talking with a higher level of confidence, as if he's got friends now who will back him up..

maybe i'm wrong, I'll definitely be keeping an eye on this one.

what are your thoughts about the recent events related to NK, is this the lead up to something major ? .. or just another distraction from Syria?

Time to bomb that fat, mouthy, little pip-squeak into the stone ago. That is where him and his ilk belong.

Most seem to think NK is throwing around a lot of BS and empty threats.

Let's hope that's the case.

If they carry out with their threats and "IF" our government decides to back our allies then things could escalate quickly and get ugly.

Ive been hearing this sabre rattling for decades from NK, I think though if they don't act this time they will be considered a joke and not be taken seriously..so they need to follow through this time.

Funny but I have yet to see any speeches from Kimmy about how he will crush America.
I'm thinking someone is feeding us some bad intel.
If N.Korea is ramping up defenses, that would make perfect sense with the way the US has been acting for the last decade or five.
Yep, we be gettin suckered into another illegal war.
Wonder how many innocent civillians we will kill in N.Korea.
I wonder if we will claim another man is a "hero" for murdering women and children.

I personally believe (and hope) it's just posturing to cement himself as leader in the minds of his people, and maybe he will do something (like when they shelled that island), declare NK beat the imperialists and that's it. In that case it could blow over or start a war that would all hinge on our response.

What's unlikely but a nightmare scenario would be if they launched an attack and then as it's going down we realize China is launching with them. Like I said not likely at all, but a scary thought. I only entertain because of the seemingly new found confidence and the apparent confidence that they could hit the mainland (even in as far as Austin?!). It has to make one consider the US has been downplaying the North's capabilities.

Your about one hour late to the party.

This new leader is not representing himself only. He is good consultations with his family elders who are in prominent power in both government and military. Whatever is going on is a committee decision mostly. It seems, NK has leased lots of land in Russia for agriculture and that has somewhat solved its food shortage problems as those areas are not prone to floods like NK is.

What else do commie nations need or promise. If they can provide two decent meals a day, the commie governments think all their duty is completed.
