I'm watching season 1 on a TV marathon on HBO today, so much better, shot without all the the sexy shots and big fight scenes, just great dialogue and character development.

Smaller budget, better episodes.

They took the great characters and dialogue and put them on screen, in the later seasons I now realize they go for the seksi plot points and just do fantastical cinematography around them.
I still enjoy it, but its definitely a HUGE difference to season one to the later seasons ( with or without Daenerys boobies )

Well, I think a big part of it was the Sean Bean/Mark Addy interplay was great.

R.I.P. Sean Bean.

Again.

They make what they know the most people will watch. Spartacus...case in point. Nothing but nudity and half nudity with men jumping around slashing their swords and roaring while blood splashes across the screen. The last season got to where that was all there was.

People like nudity, explosions, a touch of gore, a strong hero figure, and a strong (yet defeatable) villain. Its all a formula.

Throw in some eye candy special effects to fill in the gaps, and you have a media masterpiece.

HBO released this image with a bloodied but seemingly not dead Jon Snow

They also released this teaser with what I think is Brans voice saying

They have no idea what is going to happen

The past is already written. The ink is dry.

So excited about Bran's return, he's got a very interesting storyline!!! This season is going to get weird!

Now if only GRRM would release The Winds of Winter!

Hey Jenny, good to see you round!

God I hope he doesn't release the WOW the day after the new season on HBO .... But i bet they release it half way through the season to manage spoilers.

GRRM just announced it isn't finished and will not be released before the show, I'm gonna cry!

Still excited to find out what happens, especially what happens to Jon Snow!

No decision yet, but I am considering not watching the series until the book is out. I followed the book first always. I don't want to have the tale altered for me and my imagination led down a different story

Thats why i don't read books.

When i was a kid i quit going to church because they kept wanting to spoil the ending for me by reading Revelations.

Looking forward to Arya going full ninja.
Not looking forward to Sansa crying again for the whole of the next season. Jeez, just when she became interesting they turned her back into a weepy victim.
Not looking forward to the crappy dragon CGI.
Looking forward to more whitewalker insanity.

Looking forward to Arya's storyline too, her and Tyrion are my favorites! Don't really like wat D&D have done with Sansa's storyline, at all.

Would rather read about what's happening on Planetos first, but oh well. It is what it is

Tyrion is such an awesome character, has easily the best dialogue in the show and dinklage is the best actor in it by miles. Arya's transformation into a full blown badass is definitely the most interesting storyline to me, it's gonna be cool to see where they take it.
