I wrote this thread to get some information from people who know things about satanic/occultic rituals.

back when i was young i had a little bit of an event. A spooky, inexplicable event that has been bugging me ever since.
I was about 5 i think or younger. I remember laying on the bed and all of a sudden there's a "figure" standing beside my door playing a drum. I kind of recollect there being a second figure further away from the door but i'm not sure.
The picture i have of the creature in my mind is kind of like a wookie covered in crap, facial features not included. I definately remember it seeming brown and wet.
Man, i had to run by that thing to get out the door, which was open a crack.
"dad monster" "no there's not", and monster is gone when i return.

Now since it was dark, i didn't get a great look at the thing. i don't recall seeing eyes, so idk what the thing looks like. the outline of it's shape gave it the look of a thick guy, but nothing too impressive about it's size as i remember.

But I'm not here about the entity i'm here about what he played on that drum.

SO about 30 years later or so (2 days ago), i'm watching random vids on youtube. I'd been checking out some religious history, like the watchers being cast down and a bit of info on that side's story in the beginning.
I eventaully came across a documentary on the satanic church made in 1970, and it even said rare.

So i'm watching this documentary on anthony lavey's church of satanism, and i'm finding it quite interesting. Then all of a sudden AN OCCULTIC RITUAL COMES ON AND THEY ARE PLAYING THE DRUM BEAT THAT ENTITY WAS PLAYING IN MY ROOM ALL THOSE YEARS AGO.
The ritual is obviously meant to be satanic or at least evil in nature, as there is much nudity and whipping and it's just nasty. Shocked it's even on youtube actually. So ya i wont be posting it here.

I mean it's one thing to remember a melody from when you were a kid and hear it again and get some sort of feeling of oneness, but when it accompanies a satanic ritual and you first heard if from a dark entity playing a drum in the dark decades before it means a bit more.

I never forgot that beat for the next 30ish years. Told the story from time to time but it was the kind of thing you just accept as readily manufactured bya child's brain, so it wasn't a huge interest for me to dwell on. But now after realizing the rhythm/melody DOES exist i'm totally freaked out.

Here's me talking about it in 2008

One of my first memories is of this monster beside my bed. He was standing there staring at me, and he was playing this drum (like in a marching band; the one they hang from there neck and play at waist level). The beat was two slow drums (slow like morse code slow, or long, whatever it's called), four fast ones, then it would start all over again. never ever forgot that drum beat, and i was like 2-3 at the time. I've never hallucinated while in sleep paralysis, either. it's just the paralysis. I'm kinda thankful for that actually.

Do you reckon you could do your best to imitate that drum pattern somehow? It could have been some kind of drum beat that can induce trances.

I have no idea if this makes sense but the drum beat went

ab, ab, ab, abbab, ab, ab, abbab, ab.............there are only two tones, which sound like ones just the drum getting hit a little harder than the other. What else. I think the guy was brown.no hair. Definately a monster tho. but It's all good cause dad showed him what's up.
Oh yeah! Time! each individual ab takes 1 second, but the first half of that is silence so as to be in tune. the abbab is the same thing essentially, but with another b crammed in the middle (the tune, or the beat of the drum, quckens a little here to accommodate the extra be while keeping the beat continuous).
I feel ridiculous writing all this about a drum beat but I remember it since i was two, from a boogeyman...It COULD mean something.
I just remembered. if you wanna picture the ab as hand clapping, it would sound like the clapper off the commercial. It's like the clap of when the old lady's in bed and she claps the light off and rolls over. I think i might have enough edits.

ats link

Please note the way i try to describe it on paper and also the date. I was drunk most of the time on ats back in my younger days, embarrassingly, so i'm using that as an excuse for my almost nonsensicle posts in that old thread.

Okay so i have a free video recorder that records audio and video, and i cant figure out how to extract the audio from the video, so i had to put my headphones up to my speaker. it's quiet so turn IT up. (ull have to fast forward it abit)
I would have no problem telling you the name of the documentary and you all could just watch it on youtube, but i had a thread deleted already by embedding it and i don't know if i'm allowed to say what it is tbh, there's a lot of graphic stuff in there. To me it's like national geographic stuff but w/e.

Now i'm not here to share my story just cause, i 'm here because i need your help in identifying this beat and where it came from. Is it used in curses? summonings? stuff like that, and who used it? which diety and culture and the like?

SOme things to consider:

-This particular church uses satan as a metaphor for the physical in our universe, however, HE DID TAKE HIS RITUALS FROM ANCIENT TIMES from egypt, greece i blieve, and one other that i forgot (it's in the doc)
-i cannot think of any way i could have possibly heard that drum beat before the even when i was younger, let alone associate it with something evil
-the odds of my parents watching stuff out in the living room and i heard it and just happened to luckily associate the beat with evil and spontaneously hallucinate a monster are too small for me to take seriously.
-i never could forget it, even if i tried, this drum beat, it's weird.
-I don't give a high level of importance to the fact these guys don't actually worship satan.
-the audio reconciles my literal explanation in my previous posts with the actual beat itslef at the end, i think. i had to do it a bunch of times cause of feedback and stuff.
SO, do YOU have experience in rituals, or can you name this drum beat? Am i wrong in being freaked out? You guys understand that i suspect someone was screwing with me at that age with this type of stuff and it makes me feel, to be honest, angry.

Like, what are u supposed to think when you hallucinate something, or think you do, and then year slater u see that thing is real and it's in such a setting.

I think your experience is interesting to say the least, but I think you have been misinformed about the beliefs in LaVeyan satanism. Being a satanist myself can tell you that the LaVeyan side of satanism has nothing to do with the christian satan, nor is it an "evil" religion. The rituals performed are in no way evil. The form of Satanism you are thinking of is most likely theistic. Also, if you could get your hands on a copy of "The Satanic Bible" I think you could begin to understand that the purpose of LaVeyan Satanism is not to promote evil, but to encourage individualism.

Yes in the op i state that i realize that the lavyean church uses satan as a metaphor for satisfaction of the physical, "worshipping the orange instead of just the juice", i believe was his metaphor.
However, you are wrongin saying their practices are not occultish as lavey states he took rituals from ancient times, also stated in the op.

And really it's beside the point. It's difficult to describe for me how my mind could have manufactured a drum beat during a hallucination only to find the drum beat real and set in a satanic ritual. I'm not here convince people whether or not my hallucination was real or not i simply need to know the name and origin of the drum beat referenced to the op.
Disbelief in my interpreatation of events is fine as i'm only after the identification of the drum beat in the ritual. Like it's hisotry and stuff.

If you could post a link to the documentary in which you found the beat, I could try and find the source of the beat. Also, I am in no way trying to dispute your experience.

Have you tried asking at ritual sites, instead of a conspiracy site. There are many sites with blogs, regarding rituals.

Google is your friend.....

I know a guy who might know. I have been involved in the paranormal field of interest since 1987 within a special interest group at my university... and even though I do not myself "believe" in what Chris does.. he is EXTREMELY knowledgeable. His name is Christopher Ward... some folks call him the Internet Exorcist. His church is called Logos Christian Fellowship... Im sure you can find his contact info yourself online. Im on the new laptop and dont have the email addy on it. He isnt hard to find.... but he is a busy fella. Be patient. This is right up his alley.

Drum beats have been used forever to induce different brainwaves and states of consciousness. We even use it now with disturbed children ( like Binaural beats.. etc) and adults.. and meditation... etc. Drum beats have been used ritually since before recorded history... so I know the effect it can have. Particularly on a young mind.

Drum beats are used to induce altered states of being in many different belief systems, I think native americans, aboriginals, druids, satanists, and a few other groups do this.

So its no wonder it kinda resonates with you.

what do i hope to get out of it? The answer to the question i posed. I hope to have the reality of the situation defined. Depending on what reality that reality is i'll go from there.

You know it wasn't anything good, so why risk it further damaging your psyche?

Would a child flee from a true god?

Sorry if these questions seem invasive, and for being so blunt, but I'm asking because I want to understand people. I'm not asking to judge you or anything; I just want to understand this reality too.
