and Fleury and Neil are definitely NOT franchise players.

Fleury will be in the Hall of Fame one day. IMHO

Crosby is the best player in the world right now. .

1 - Stamkos

Maybe, maybe not. Not at the pace he's going at now. Right now he's ordinary. Of course, he's still playing and he could go on to win more Cups so anything can happen. If he retired today no way is he Hall of Fame material.

Oh, the Flyers chew him up and spit him out, eh? Like last Sunday? Look at the record of the Flyers. Now look at Pittsburgh's record. Flyers, Pittsburgh. The Flyers aren't doing too much chewing and spitting out of anyone this year.

None of those guys are better than Crosby right now. Just because Stamkos scores a lot of goals, what place is Tampa Bay in? Plus, Crosby is way ahead of him in points. Heck, even Kunitz has more points than Stamkos, and only 3 less goals.

Giroux, good player but nowhere near the best in the world. Ovechkin and Malkin are both severely overrated, especially Ovechkin. Malkin has Crosby to fall back on so his deficiencies go unnoticed.

And Chara!!?!?? 5th best player in the world?!?!?!?

I thought this was going to be some serious hockey discussion.

Ryane Clowe will have to sit and wait. The 30-year-old winger was held out of the San Jose Sharks' Monday night home contest against the Vancouver Canucks. Clowe has appeared in the Sharks' last three games but has been the subject of trade rumours in advance of Wednesday's NHL trade deadline. In 28 games with the Sharks so far in 2013, Clowe has registered 11 assists, 79 penalty minutes and a minus-four rating. The Mount Pearl, Newfoundland-native is in the final year of a four-year deal he signed with San Jose prior to the 2009-10 season worth an average annual value of $3.625 million. Clowe has spent his entire eight-year career with the Sharks. He has scored 101 goals and 170 assists in 423 career games.

Clowe to Vancouver! woot!

Habs looked good in spanking the Bruins again last week.

The jury is in. The Canadiens are better than the Bruins.

It's possible. Those awards are based mostly on internal politics though, so not a given. Besides, the only award that really matters is the Cup.

That said, a few Habs should be at least under consideration for individual honours. Subban for the Norris, Gallagher for the Calder, and Therrien as you mentioned. Whether any one of them wins is a crap shoot.
