WHY I Dont Invest in Gold/Silver

all your points are valid. In a SHTF scenario precious metals are pretty useless. Also government consfiscation is a real threat , and is why most rich people have a set amount of pms held in overseas vaults. If you want something that will skyrocket in value during a crisis just stock BOOZE lol.

You're right in your assumptions of what gold and silver can't do.

I look at gold / silver as also having a bit more protection for financial survival. Thing is, I look at history and even during the dark times of Europe, people still traded gold and silver for things as well as other barter items. Gold and silver are easier to store and hide than a lot of barter items.

I guess what I'm trying to say is, why not just add a bit of gold / silver to your prep supplies. For me it just gives you an added option.

Saying a SHTF scenario is very open ended. How much booze can you stock pile compared too, two oz of gold.
Every survivalist / prepper needs to look at their own situation and plan accordingly.
